Whitley released?

Just read on the cowboys website that we released Whitley. Isn't he the Center we drafted in the 7thish round last year that BP liked?

Anybody know why he was released, I thought he had a chance at a future here?

He blew out his knee early in TC and was placed on IR.

The injury must be worse than they thought or he didn't fit in to the plans. He could still be brought back later.
