Who’s the 9th OL that sits on game day

So guessing they’ll keep 9 on roster and 8 active on game day who’s the one that sits?

Sua Filo or McGovern? My guess is Xavier as long as McGovern shows he can get the job done. If not he may get the Conor Williams treatment about taking a year to bulk up.

I'd sit Fleming assuming Connor can fill in at tackle if needed. Otherwise the rookies odd man out to start.

If so Williams at LG. Backups Looney and Fleming on game day. Only 7 active.
If not, maybe Willams at RT, then who at LG? Looney? SF? McGovern? I'm sure they'd prefer McGovern. That leaves Looney and Fleming as the backups again, and we're playing with our starting oline for years to come.

Anybody's guess at this point. Certainly a pick with an eye on the future. Collins has been just average at RT and will want above average $ in 2020. I'm thinking a FO thought process that involves C Will being our potential RT in 2020 with C McG possibly sliding into LG in 2020. McGovern also has experience at C and we really don't know yet if Freddy 2019 will be Freddy of old. It's a pick with an eye on the future. Never would have predicted it but I like it. He's a smart pick IMO

Trade one for a RB2 or safety..

things is FO learned that 2017 we had no depth past our starters, our oline suffered and the offense went with it even when zeke got back.. they now have choices and some moving pieces..also scared them with Beard going down and the unknown.. McGovern was shocker pick no one saw comic but who knows..

Keep all the good OL you can squeeze on the roster. McGovern may redshirt on the 53. XSF has started in the league and for DAL.

I'd bet my bottom dollar that Collins has a career year during his contract year and then gets us a nice comp pick, then in 2020 Williams and Fleming compete for RT. Nothing like contract years and competition to bring the best out of players.

As far as this year? I think either McGovern is inactive or Sua Filo gets traded for a late round pick.

Who's there depends greatly on who makes it healthy out of TC and available for the season. Injuries still often happen in the NFL.

Not so sure. They are the best 9 OL. After them if Su-a'filo you have players like Redmond,who is ok, then Campos then Stanton then a few others.
They will go with those 9 unless injuries happen.
