I don't subscribe to the 2-3 year minimum. Because whether folks like it or not, 'The face of the franchise' is based solely on what non-fans believe it to be.. And right now it's Dak and Zeke as far as players are concerned. And of course Witten & Dez are in conversation with more die hard fans. Jerry Jones, due to the media's constant infatuation to hate on him regardless of his contributions to the NFL, will continue to be the de facto face of our franchise. As far as this loyal Cowboy fan, I believe it's Witten, Dak, Lee, Dez, Elliott and soon to be Jaylon.. not necessarily in that order.

You have to think in terms of universal marketability. Dak and Zeke will probably eventually ascend to that role. Dez could join them, but his play needs to do the talking...not his Twitter account.

Internally, and specifically on defense, we need that to be Sean and hopefully Jaylon. Their influence could cascade to the youngsters.
