Except for Matt Garza who they traded for. But other than that it has been the draft.

i want torre to do well in LA......NY was dumB for thinking he was what needed changing

the rays i just like seeing a new face in the playoffs plus i am required to hate the red sox since i am a yankee fan.

i wouldnt have posted baseball thoughts here but since the thread was started...........

I wanted Torre to win LA... I really did. I was rooting for him. But losing Game 4 the way they did just reminded me that he was done.

He lost his effectiveness with Yankees(that can happen when you stay with a team long enough) Kudos for all he did for Yankees. It was great. But it was time to go 2 years before he did... maybe more.

Fast forward to Dodgers. They had it. Game 4 was won. He didnt close the deal. Same Joe Torre that led the Yankees into and out of 1st round for 4 or 5 of the last 6 years or so.

I thought the same thing! Nobody wanted to give them any credit, but they may have cleared the way. Sad to see though the fans celebrating TOO hard in the N.E. We haven't won anything yet, but those cats were blocking traffic and mobbing the streets like we just clinched the final out in the W.S.

They match up well with either team, imo, except for at Manager, Manuel is to the Phillies as Phillips is to the Cowboys, a bumbling, country, bumpkin, idiot. There is a lot of talent on that team.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Right now, I'm cautiously optimistic. I would hate for the Phillies to lose it after getting so far. I mean to play such a long season(late March to late October), losing in the WS has to hurt. Baseball season is too long.

Wow. Harsh. There's no real tangible reason to hate the Phillies. You're either a Mets fan, or Chase Utley scooped your girl some years back. Maybe it's just the Philly hate. Well...If it works for you, go for it.
