Just wondering how the general audience felt about a run for the SuperBowl this year.

Honestly, I think it all depends on our OL. I think our D will be good enough (if we get a good SOLB).

If the OL holds up, opens some holes for JuJo, and keeps Bledsoe off his back, I think we'll be one of the top 3 teams in the NFC.

You should make a poll out of this. I don't think this year, but pending the impending TO implosion, next year they will be more than ready.

I'd feel a lot better about our chances if we added some talent to the O-Line on the 1st day of the draft, preferably 2 picks. That unit is still by far the weakest link on the team.

Its funny... what you say about O-Line is true... yet we almost went 12-4 last year if we had a good kicker.... makes ya go hmmm.....

with that said, I think last years Cowboys could have beaten the Steelers in the game that they put out in the Superbowl.

So my answer is YES! We can make a run at SB this year and win it.

If Dallas doesn't make a Superbowl run, I will be extremely upset. Stopgaps like Drew Bledsoe, Terry Glenn, and TO are good for at least 9 wins. If Dallas is mediocre this year, they would have been better off really sucking these past few years. At least they could have drafted the quarterback, wide receiver, and runningback of the future. Sometimes a team as to go 4-12 so they can get the players needed to rebuild.

My dream draft would be if we got incredibly luck and...

1st: Winston Justice

2nd: Bobby Carpenter

3rd: Nick Mangold

Yeah, I know, it ain't gonna happen. All three of those could potentially be first rounders.

We were a FIELD GOALS away from being one of the top 3 teams in the NFC last year, if everything falls into place this season we will be the best team in the NFC....possibly the NFL.

I think we can. The OL has to hold up. If they can play like they did before FA went out I think we will maka a run,

I could of sworn TO was a WR, not an offensive lineman.

actually with TO here they are obligated to double cover him or have him catch a nice little slant. so they have the choice of blitzing and being sure to give up yards to TO or not blitzing and double covering TO. you can say that Bledsoe wont hit his third step if they blitz, but our line isnt THAT BAD, they suck but they can protect long enough for a quick slant.

the point is TO eases the amount of blitz packages other teams throw our way.

With today's league, we are ready. 10 years ago? No where close. We were so damn close last year and actually choked it away. If we made the post season last year, I don't think caroline, Seattle, or Chicago beat us.

I agree TO will help take pressure off the OL, but he isn't gonna make them better. There's a difference.

ur a tricky one, but he will make their jobs easier essentially making them "look" better. as a whole he makes our team a lot better.

Exactly. I agree with that. But the OL still has to play better then last year (with or w/o TO).

I think we're getting better, but we're still thin on the offensive line, wide receiver, and defensive tackle, not to mention quarterback. Sure, we can address some of those positions in the draft, but it's a crapshoot on who gets hurt and who holds up. Getting to the Superbowl would require some breaks (the good kind), but I guess it's possible. I think we should at least be shooting for the top of the NFC East, provided our O line comes together and our offensive can find get into sync.

well its almost a given that they play better than last year, atleast in the scheme that the cowboys are trying to play along (by that i mean more mobile guards instead of big Larry Allen type maulers). Flozell Adams is back to play the T, Fabini on the other side is an upgrade over petiti, Riviera is now 2 years off of his back which is a plus, Al Johnson added 15 lbs of muscle, might help at the C position, its an upgrade from him last year and as for Kosier he is the prototyical G that the cowboys want.

i see it as:
T: Flozell Adams back = upgrade
T: Fabini > Petiti = upgrade (dont forget Petiti may be a solid backup with a year under his belt and another off-season)
G: Riviera 2 years off > Riviera 1 year off = upgrade
G: Kosier is more mobile than LA but isnt as strong, but hey better some than none right? and thats exactly what kosier will do, he will make the hit everytime. yes, it wont be as big a hit as allen can lay but hes more mobile. i still say we are about even at this spot, maybe a slight upgrade since Kosier fits the prototypical cowboys G.
C: Johnson +15 LBS. > Johnson -15 LBS. = upgrade

so i see them performing better than last year . . .
