I just don't see Jerry sitting still in the 3rd round.

Any suggestions?

It's the most painful part of our trade with Cleveland, yet it's a rather small price to pay. I say end today's draft watch early, and have our payment for next year's number one paid up in full.

2008 will be great!

We have 5 picks in the last 2 rounds.... don't know how the points work out off the top of my head, but that could be one way to package picks to do it.

we might have to package our whole 2nd day to get a 3rd, or a future pick to do it, our 3 7ths are only worth a little over a 100 combined, if that, and we have no 5th to work w/

I think if we see someone we want in the third we use our 6 and 7 rd picks to move up.

Bradie's not even worth a 6th rounder...
:laugh2: don't know about that...he's not that bad. His contract might lessen his value though so maybe we can trade Bradie, a 6th and a 7th for a 3rd.

What about Akin Ayodele, Kevin Burnett or Chris Canty?

All good players, but not exactly playmakers on defense.

Greg Ellis, Bradie James and a 4th or 5th round pick. The big question is first on who and what teams covet who Dallas was looking at in the third round.

How about trading down in the 2nd and just swapping 4th round picks...is that enough to get a low 3rd rounder?

Essentially giving us a low 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

If Michael Bush is available at 53 and we get him, I could see JJ going for a 3rd rounder.

That's the problem with him is the injury but I think he is the 2nd best running backin the draft in the long run. Watching him play he's a better all around player than Lynch, tougher runner, and he's a better receiver and better football player.

I think moving back in the third is going to be tough...but not impossibble.

seeing some of the trades in the second, you are seeing that the depth of this draft is the second, third and fourth rounds. Teams are going to ask for more than the present worth to move up imo.

Ellis and Bradie and some combination of second day picks or at this point maybe a trade after the draft for a currently employed WR long on potential but short on actual experience.
