If we aren't gonna make the team better around him we may as well trade him. There's no point in wasting a season.

Although, we wasted a decade with Garrett as HC. You'd think Jerry would get old and desperate. The only thing he looks desperate to do is make more money.

They are 100% wasting next season. You either have to go "all in" around Dak or you need to move him. Keeping him with an even lessor team and a lame duck coach means next season is setting up for disaster. These two bozos are just going to waste a season. If the plan is not to sign Dak after this year then move on now and get the process going quicker.

Who do you suppose wants to trade for him?

just tell dak your drafting defense and ask his agent how many times you want to see him eat the turf and his agent will be running to get him traded. nothing like a 330 pound lineman coming through to hurt you to change a no - trade clause what do you think

He was literally in the MVP running last year, and you don't think we can trade him? The problem is the same idiots who only got a 4th for Cooper would be engineering the deal. Meanwhile Philly gets multiple picks for Sam Bradford.

If he is so good, why trade him?
You don't think those teams see what we see?

The cap hit issue is a problem stemming from conceding to his demands 4 years ago and paying the broken market rate.

Signing him again to what he wants in the same broken market would be a clear cyclical, systemic problem with how the team does business.

Not a 4th, 2022 fifth-round draft pick and a swap of 2022 sixth-rounders

No one should care about the $40 million in 2025 but cutting him now and taking $95 million hit would not look good. That would be worse than the Russell Wilson fiasco.

It's all not rocket science though...Zach Martin probably one year left, Tank one year left, Coaches on 1 year deals and Dak is going to play on a 1 year deal.

Jerry will get something for his money in 2024. Who knows what that will ultimately be, but he ain't cutting any of these guys on big contracts or pushing more money.

They're probably willing to eat the $40 million because of the salary cap increases and some of the other big money getting off the books the following year.

I heard they could be over $100 million under the cap in 2025 if they let it all play out. Fans are just going to have to suck it up.

Prescott and France do the telling, Jerry Jones does the listening. And Jerry painted himself into this corner. France knows whatever Dak’s value is it’s more as a free agent than if assets have to be moved to acquire him. Jerry’s best move now is to cut him. Just move on. Find another QB.

The old if he's so good why is he available. That line is so played out and so often wrong.
If that is such a witty question..the opposite is also true. If he's so good, why wouldn't another team bust down our doors for him?

12 wins per season would save the jobs for several GMs / Head Coaches.

Not indefinitely without playoff wins, bur some terrible teams would be content for 2 or 3 years with 12 wins.

Every single year Dak and the team get Embarrassed in the playoffs. We aren’t winning with Dak at QB period. When zeke declined that window shut.
More importantly than Zeke, Dak post Injury is done.
