A win versus Buffalo is just as important. Neither is in our division and we need to win all the games against teams we have outclassed talent-wise. A loss to NE doesn't make or break the season.

I know the media doesn't work this way, hyping up next week's game as a potential Game of the Year. The Patriots are not even one of our rivals. Win the games we are supposed to and the season will be very successful.

Its not a conference game, its not a division game, but it is a statement game
against a team we hopefully will see again later this season.
And I have to agree with 3sportstar I am getting sick of the NE talk.

Just as important in terms of wins and losees maybe, but not as exciting and not as telling.

I can't wait for the New England game; forget the media view of it, it's going to be a great measuring stick of how good this team really is.

Let's get real here.

The game against the Pats is HUGE.

You know it. I know it. We all know it.

The 600 pound gorilla is in the room. You can ignore him if you want to but the rest of us are gonna take notice.

I'm anxious to play the Pats because I truely believe we're gonna beat them in BIG D. Romo is great in big games and this isn't BP conservative teams in the past. Also, who else knows how to defense the Pats better then WP. We'll beat them in BIG D..

I will say this......If we have to lose 1 game going into the bye week, I would prefer it be to NE. However, I am hoping we are undefeated going into the bye week. It sure would give us a nice cushion over our division.

After the bye, we have 9 games left (8 vs the NFC, 5 vs the NFC East).....so we will have a lot of work to do to win the division and try and keep the top seed in the NFC.

So yes 6-1 would be sweet..........7-0 would be the football equivalent to a night with the 3 Jessicas (Biel, Alba, Simpson)

I agree that in the larger scheme of things our division rival games are more important in terms of making the playoffs.

However, it is ludicrous to say that the Cheats game is not a big game for us. That game will give us a pretty good idea of how we stack up against "elite" teams and where our real strengths and weaknesses are.

Yeah... but does a regular season win over them really lessen the NE talk?

Not by much if you ask me.... we will get what WE always tell rival fans.... "it was only regular season"

They can have this one... I want the last one.... the only one that really matters... "at the end of the day" ES

Our Division rival gamse are 10Xs more important then the Pats game. The pats game is just important because of who they are and the potential of us being the best if we win. But the Giants, Eagles and Commanders games are the ones that matter most.

Even with a win over the Pats... it doesnt make us the best. Maybe the best on that day.

We need to create a little good history with this team before we declare ourselves better than the Elite... upper echelon teams.

I think it's our biggest test against the league's premier team. If we can stop NE, we can stop anyone.

We already showed we can stop the Colts and Manning.

Actually, if we can take one win from the Pats then we've done what we can to assure that we don't see them get an easy ride to play us in the Super Bowl by giving them an easy path to the AFC home field advantage.

I'd rather not play Randy Moss and Tom Brady come January.

So, yeah, it matters--more than Buffalo.

In the NFL, EVERY game matters because you only play 16 of them! The Pats (like the Bears were supposed to be two weeks ago) should provide that measuring stick that some need to validate our "coming of age", so to speak. Personally, a loss to NE doesn't take anything away from Dallas because it's not a divisional or conference foe, so I'll take it with a grain of salt. Just like if (or should I say WHEN) Dallas wins I won't go out and purchase my Super Bowl tix! If nothing else it'll be entertaining as HELL!
