I'm not letting Micah get crushed by dlineman..but I'll let Mazi. That might be right up his alley.
I was thinking the same thing. In a straight line, Mazi is a freak of an athlete.

Well, if the goal is to have your "biggest/heaviest" player get that 1 yard needed, then wouldn't it be Hankins?? Isn't he our biggest player?

Remember him? So, I have a serious question… If you needed one yard to win the NFC Championship or Super Bowl, would you have a play in your pocket to run Micah? Any chance we have such a play? Or hell, maybe Osa?

I’m honestly surprised no teams (that I know of) do it. Those Fridge plays were awesome.
How about Parsons? I think he played RB in high school.

He'll yea, l'd put in a running play or two for him. Everyone seems to forget that he was a hell-of-a RB in high school. It's like saying you wouldn't use a weapon like Deion at WR or punt returns.
Well, to be fair, Deion as a WR was controversial back in the day. I remember Madden calling him out during the 95 NFC Championship for his inexperience as a route runner for running too close to the sideline, giving Troy no place to throw the ball.

First of all like someone else said in here and probably others you don't start doing this in the playoffs you do not hand the ball to someone that hasn't handled the ball very much how about this how about we just use the I formation and have two back sets even sometimes three if you include the fullback back there in short yardage and use them I think that hunter has been getting a little bit increase in snaps and getting a little more comfortable you just need to continue to do that and just do it a little bit more no crazy **** that's why Kellen Moore is gone... Let's just give the ball to the back smore that are here and let's just move forward I mean imagine if we used hunter in front of Rico a lot more or if you had all three of them in the backfield at the same time and come up with some creative plays off that we need more of that in the playoffs for sure but no no now like adding a big man to handle the ball no maybe for blocking you put an extra lineman like they used to last year and use him as a fullback but we have a full back and we just need to keep giving him more and more opportunities...

The Fridge Plays we're a stupid publicity thing they did while pounding on inferior teams. The oline did the work... and every play the fridge scored on an average backup RB would also have even more easily scored on.

He was a big fat blob that could just waddle 1 yard when the oLine blew the other team back 10 yards off the line of scrimmage.

Let Mazi do it. He can waddle 1 yard if nobody gets in his way.

Or....like....just give it to players whose job it is to run the football.

The funny thing...is The Fridge was thought of as this freak of nature back then.

6'2 and 325 lbs. Unheard of at the time....where any dLinemen that even got in the 290 range usually only weighed that much because they were 6'5 or so.

Fast forward 40 years, and nobody would blink an eye at being that big. Mazi is slightly bigger than that. Many DTs all over the NFL are that big (some bigger)

And the 335 pounders these days aren't sloppy out of shape fatsos that had to go on oxygen if they ran 3 yards like the blobby Fridge was.
