Gosh I'm slow. When I saw this thread I came in here expecting someone to be really angry over this guy getting cut and they were wanting to basically bash on one side, or the other, for cutting a pet cat.

It took me a second to realise what this thread was really being posted for. I feel really foolish right now. lol

Its' a very emotional time. Jerry releasing Poots has me all choked up. It really brings tears to my eyes.

I'm mad! It stinks that we let him go. I guess he was always on the bubble, and it was only a matter of time before he was squeezed out. If only we had held him in, he could have eventually turned into a great #2.

Romo didn't like the idea he was penciled in as our backup center.

I guess we know who wears the pants around Valley Ranch. And it aint poots.

Did Jerry cut Poots? Was it Garrett?

Were Jerry and Garrett in conference when they both decided to cut Poots?

no chance Poots was making the roster anyway, so it really doesn't matter who decided, it should of been Garrett since he's the head coach

Hey Beano, Are you trying to take the wind out of our sails?

Something's rotten in Denmark I tell ya. Jerry cut Poots way too soon. I was gassed when I heard the news.

Yes, it's a team thing.
Jerry said what the cut procedure was on the Miami game. The coaches meet, then the scouts and trainers come in the room. Then they evaluate and decide.

However, he did also say, it was just a matter of about 5 players that needed to be decised on.

If any team doesn't know by the 4th pre season game of the top 45 players are, then that team has some issues.

I see, so they cut Poots in a smoke-filled room.

I thought we'd hold Poots, but we let him go. He didn't make a big enough splash, I guess. Must've really been a turd.

Actually he was a stain on the Cowboys uni. Reminds me of Willie Blade.

Poots had great potential to be awesome on runs, even to where he was penetrating deep into the fabric of the opposing team.

I also read reports that he was always gassed on the sidelines. :D

When Poots comes in a room, everyone gets quiet and acts like he's not even there.
