The 49ers are a rivalry of the last century, it is dead now.

I smell a Patriot/ Cowboy Super Bowl rivalry on par with Dallas' squabble with Pittsburgh in the 70s being the future source of heat.

The division rivalries remain heated simply because opposing fan bases remain classless punks and I derive satisfaction from their bitter whining.

This reminds me of a guy who I ran into once who found out in a conversation I was a Cowboys fan.

He started talking noise, and I said, "Who are you a fan of?"

He said, "your most hated and biggest rival."

I said, "Are you a Skins fan?"

That pissed him off.
