To me, hatred of other teams are cyclical. The only constant is the Deadskins (since I'm in the DC area)! I've hated the Niners since "The Catch" but since they've been off the radar the past few seasons I cannot say that I've maintained that hatred recently. Philly has owned us this decade so they're a close second to WSH right now. I didn't like the NY Football Giants during Parcells' regime but since then I only think about them when we play them. Green Bay during the 90s also was a hated rival but now, not so much. I find it hard to hate a team that hasn't been successful lately (except the 'Skins) so my "Hate Gauge" changes accordingly!

nice, i like how ya did that.. just curious, though, why ya hate the Falcons, Lions and Vikings?

Because when I first started watching the Cowboys in 1990, they played Atlanta the last game of the year, Dallas had to beat them to make the playoffs and the Falcons beat the Cowboys pretty bad and kinda rubbed their face in it. I've always hated them since then.

Lions, because in '91 they beat the Cowboys badly in the regular season and badly in the playoffs and for me being a young fella I developed a hatred for them and over the years the Cowboys have had their share of trouble with the Lions.

Vikings, well that hatred started brewing when they got Randy Moss and they kicked the Cowboys butt several times in a row. Actually I think last Sunday was the first time the Cowboys beat them since our last playoff win which was 2 years before Moss got to the Vikings.

It's probably not totally rational but these teams stir up the hatred emotion with in me for these reasons.

My (i don't hate) dislike list goes like this...

4. everyone else besides the Cowboys...

How can you dislike the RedStinks? They are the Cowboy's little sister!

This reminds me of a guy who I ran into once who found out in a conversation I was a Cowboys fan.

He started talking noise, and I said, "Who are you a fan of?"

He said, "your most hated and biggest rival."

I said, "Are you a Skins fan?"

That pissed him off.

He said, "No Eagles".

Guess I would say Skins by a mile, then Eagles.

iggle fans are always mad when we remind them that the skins are a bigger rival... i dont know why, its not like we dont hate the iggles?

The philthy phans are much more "hateable" than the team in my opinion. Those people are just disgusting. I think they take pride in being rude and obnoxious.

I hate the old niners.

The current Niners I don't hate so much. They're so bad, I actually kinda hope they get it going soon. Plus I can't help but root for Larry Allen.

I hate the Eagles.

I hate the Skins too, and the Giants.

But for some reason, I have pure blind hatred for the Eagles.

I hate the eagles/Commanders/giants (the order doesn't really matter), THEN ...nobody else really.

For me it is always who is next up on the schedule.I have equal hatred for any team who does not have a star on the side of their helmet.

I use something similar in NY.

Just the other day(it was Sunday) I was buying a set of bar stools from this family.... as I am leaving.. the guy asks, "Giants Fan?".....

I put on this big ole kool aid smile and reply, "I am a fan of the most hated team in the NFL"

His reply, "uh, Dallas?"

My reply, "YEP!"

His reply, "get outta here"

I LOL'd my way outta there.....

I used to loathe the 49ers, but everyone that I hated on that team (Clark, Montana, Craig, Rice, Romanowski, Bill Walsh, Steve Young) are all gone. Now I just feel sorry for them.

I never really hated GB. That would have been like hating the Bills. Dallas always seemed to beat the Pack in the early-mid 90's. It took a sharp decline by the Cowboys and 49ers to allow the Pack to win anything before the decade was over.

If the Eagles weren't such lowlifes during the Andre Waters days, I probably wouldn't hate them either, since they've never really won anything. But they were classeless then. McNabb has such a whiny, loser personality that it's easy to continue the hate.

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Raiders because of the beat downs they put on the Eagles and Skins in the early 80's.
