We need a FS, SS, G(even if Holland starts we still have to sign Kosier or someone else), 2 DE's (even if we keep Igor we really need two other veteran DE's), WR.

I think Bowen and Kosier are re signs. After that its really merky.

outside of fantasy land, I think Weddle, Elam are probables.

I agree on Elam, and I think that DE Kenyon Coleman could be another cheap 'friend of Rob' possibility.

I think it would take a lot to get Weddle to leave the west coast.

I have to wonder if they have a replacement in mind for Davis. You said no fantasy land so Mankins is out, so I'd settle for Justin Blalock.

sounds reasonable. And I had the same fantasy about Mankins.

ss-elam
fs-pool
de-Bowen and matt roth.
ot-Free
g-Kosier, Yanda or colledge
wr-I think we stay with what we have. Harris moves into wr3 spot. If case of injury to Dez or Austin, I think they will just use Felix and Murray more in the passing game. I would expect both on the field at the same time.

I don't know what the market value is or how much we have to spend (or how it works for that matter) for these guys so I don't know if it is doable or not. I don't expect anyone flashy to be signed. Taking a shot in the dark.

If we dump Davis then Kosier is almost a must. I would be happy with either Yanda or Colledge. WR- I doubt we count on a rookie for our #3.

I think Weddle may be a bit too pricey. In fact, it wouldn't shock me if he ends up signing for more money that Huff somewhere.

Quinton Mikell please, if Huff/Weddle is too pricey.

If we could afford it....after signing Free, Bowen, Spears, and Hurd.....

CB Nnamdi
S Weddle
S Huff
OG Mankins
OG Blalock

but we can't afford it, and this isn't Madden football.

BTW, one guy being overlooked in the secondary is that guy from SF, Goldson. He is a pretty darn good player.

Mankins agreed to a deal with the Pats.

Break the bank for DFree, resign KKosier cheap, resign SBowen at a moderate price, sign AElam to play SS (I prefer Sensy, but I think he's going to Houston) and sign Michael Huff to play FS.

We may also sign a guard, and there's quit a few who would be upgrades at RG and if we cut Newman, we sign Nnamdi.

where did you here this? He was franchised so he has to report. I have not heard anything about him signing anything other then his tender.

Mankins reportedly will sign his franchise tender
Mankins' franchise tag will cost the Patriots more than $10 million, increasing the possibility the team will try to negotiate a long-term contract to provide it some salary cap relief and Mankins some security.

convienently that article does not mention all the crap Kraft put him through and his demand for a public apology for honestly calling Kraft a liar as he was.

Money talks, he evidently signed the tender and will be at camp. Players getting in disagreement with management say it ain't so. :laugh2:

His tender is his contract until he is traded or resigned. He could make a ton of $$ by playing out next year on his tender.

Patriots franchise player Logan Mankins plans to sign his one-year tender and report to training camp on time.
By signing the tender, Mankins guarantees himself at least $10 million this season. It's a hefty sum to pay a left guard, but Mankins is perhaps the most dominant player at his position in the game. Although he has grumbled about not getting a long-term deal, he's apparently ready to play nice in the hopes that the Patriots will eventually lock him up.
