I'd prefer the Giants lose, their fans have just been too cot damned annoying and homerific lately

I can't even visit Giants.com, it's like arguing with foreigners... we aren't speaking the same language

:lmao2:

This . . . coming from a Commanders fan . . .

Irony at its best.

Everyone better stop worring about the Eagles or Giants and hope the Boyz beat the RedStinks!

It is not a given that this is a "W" for the Boyz...

Before anyone wallows any others misfortunes, they better watch out for their own...

Well, their game is on before ours. So we can wallow all we want until 8 pm. ;)

Looking at this topic question from an opponents perspective I'd have to speculate that a calculating fan would hope that the team you feel most threatened by should be the team you would hope is unsuccessful.

On the other hand, the homer fan would understand the Logic of the calculating fan, but would root for one team or the other to lose

The typical opponent fan while hating one team or the other would go with their emotions in hopes that their least favorite team wins.

Now according to the concept that the Eagles was a basement team in 2005; Hence, they will end up in the basement in 2006 ...the Giants will be victorious. I'm reminded so often of posters from various fandoms, who profess that the proverbial window has closed for Eagles, and that the injuries the Eagles incurred in 2005 had totally nothing to do with their 2005 standings in the NFC-East. Perhaps they were right ...perhaps not!

Oh the Giants are more than capable of winning this game (we all know the expression - On any given ...yada-yada). But the 2006 Eagles will come to contend on a higher level than in 2005!

So root for whoever you want ...it won't make a difference In the outcome of the game!

I think I'd rather see Philly win, but then you risk them gaining even more confidence and possibly getting on a run.

Still, the idea of a talented Giants team at 0-2 sounds good. They have some hotheads and I'm not sure how we'll they'll respond -- despite the talent -- if they suffer some problems early.

I'm hoping the Eagles lose. Not only do I hate 'em a lot more, but also because their week 3 and 4 games are @SF and then GB. If they win week 2, and then go on to easily win weeks 3 and 4, then they'll be 4-0 with their next game after that being their home game vs. us in week 5.

Such an easy opening schedule.

Don't you have some kind of superhero work to do other than jab at me. You're a vicious challenge ...

The world is safe. You have nothing to fear.

Who says I was jabbing you, anyhow?:D

I think that the Giants are overall the better team, but they have the tougher schedule, so i'll root for the Giants!

I agree 100%. They were written off way too soon.

Me too, Hos. I was saying all during the preseason that the Eagles are not a bad team at all. And that all the NFCE teams have a great chance to finish 8-8 and above.
