I haven't seen that he's having a killer week. Where have you been reading that? He'd be a nice 2nd round choice if we don't fill the need in FA.
Various recaps from NFL teams' personnel who have made comments. Also, I saw in some interview (can't find the source now, but I assure you I'm not making it up) that when asked who was the most "stand out" player so far, DH was named. If you Google "senior bowl comments daymeion", you'll find a whole slew of articles. Here are some quotes I found:
" In the defensive backfield, the star of the show was Cal CB
Daymeion Hughes, who showed very good quicks, nice reaction and instincts. Hughes was all over the North WR in coverage and had several pretty breakups."
"
“All these guys out here are playing hard, but he’s (Hughes) kind of standing out a little bit,” said Bucs’ Defensive Backs Coach Raheem Morris. “He made a couple big plays yesterday and looked good again today. He’s a quick-feet guy. He’s a little bit of an undersized guy and all that stuff people keep talking about, but some of that stuff doesn’t even matter. I like the kid and I like the way he plays.”
"Best at
Senior Bowl: Cal's
Daymeion Hughes, Michigan's Leon Hall and Fresno State's Marcus McCauley." ----- cornerbacks
"The most talented unit on both sides of the ball might be the North defensive backs. They are fast and quick, and have been harassing the North wide outs all week. As mentioned yesterday, Cal cornerback
Daymeion Hughes has great hands and excellent quickness. The North used him at kick returner, along with Tech wide receiver David Clowney."
