Who do we want to have the #2 seed in the NFC?

SF or NO?

Two things

1) If NO has the 2 seed, it is a lot more likely that SF is upset as the 3 seed than NO. This would mean we would go to NO in the divisional round as opposed to GB

2) Do we even want to play @NO instead of @GB? I am not so sure about this one..and I am being honest

Nope. Doesn't matter to me. I have no idea if we'll even be in the playoffs, let alone care who we would face should we win the first playoff game.

Bottom line, to get to the super bowl we will have to at the very least beat either SF, NO, or GB on the road, so ...... I'll just be happy with a division title and one playoff win, to be very honest. Anything beyond that would be pure gravy.

I feel the same exact way. "If" we make the playoffs, I would be more than happy if we win our first game at home. Anything else is gravy. Heck, just winning the division would be huge to me. If I did have to pick, I would prefer to play SF first, then GB, then NO. Brees would tear us to pieces in New Orleans. At least in GreenBay.. it would be brutally cold and anything strange could happen. SF scares me the least because we have beaten them once and they have a weak offense.

If we win the division we won't play any of those 3 teams in the first round. Two will have a bye, and the third will be the three seed hosting the other home game.

Oh wait.....I think I misunderstood what you meant there...... I follow now, and I agree. NO is the scariest just b/c of their offense, and the dome. But GB and NO are like 1 and 1A, if you know what I mean. Lambeau and Rodgers is no treat either.

I am not predicting any playoff matchups until next week. I cannot believe the Eagles still have life. This reminds me of 2006 and 2008.

In 2006, they were 5-6, ran off 5 straight to win NFC East, including the 23-7 Christmas night drubbing of our Cowboys

In 2008, they were 5-5-1 and went 4-1 the rest of the way, including the infamous 44-6 game. The Bucs who were 9-4 at one time, lost their last three. Cowboys were once 8-4 and 9-5 before finishing 9-7. The Eagles were left with a month to go, similar to their 4-8 record as of 12/1.

I thought I was done with my fear mongering, well, I guess we will see.

Yes, he has to be crazy. Our best bet would be in this order.. SF, GB, then NO. Brees would MURDER us in the dome. We are capable of beating SF.. and GB might be full of freaking snow and wind.. so that would increase our odds against them.

The saints also lost to the Rams.
Yes they looked good vs the Vkings but the Saints aren't great by anymeans.

As it currently stands, I think @GB is the best matchup in the divisional round. Jennings is done for the regular season at least, Clifton is still out with a hamstring and back, Bulaga has a knee, and Sherrod is out for the year with a broken fibula. Plus, they've probably got the worst defense of the top three seeds.

If you considered every game a coinflip, they'd have about a 6-7% chance (1 in 16).
