When you do your boards is there a certain site or person you follow? I use to follow Mike Mayock, CBS Walter Football Drafteck. I'm not a big Fan of Mel Kiper so was just curious.

I look around to several draft boards, but don't spend a lot of time on them until after the NFL Combine. As the boards tend to change.

However, I spend a lot of time in here, looking at all the mock drafts. And to get ideas on players I don't know much about.
I get much better info from here than the other sites. As I don't want to spend a of time on over analysis.

I used to go by the CBS page for the top 500 prospects or however many they had. But that site changed and is not as good. They had two really good analysts there. then they left, they dropped it to just the top 100. Now I think it is back to like 300 or so, or it was last year.

I'm a huge fan of college football so I'm very familiar of where the talent is generally going to fall before the mocks start getting more attention.
But I follow the links RisenStar post. They are very informative. He stays on top of the current draft news .

Mayock’s tenure with the Raider’s is all the proof that you need not to pay attention to his draft analysis.

Got to look at several to determine a consensus. Like Tony Pauline pro football network, pff, draft network, draftek, draft buzz

If I need a rankings board, I will just google whoever. NFL.com is usually pretty close to the consensus.

As far as draft pundits I listen to, Thor Nystrom on Rotoworld is fantastic. And he's a little long-form for regular consumption, but Chris Simms is one of my absolute favorite analysts out there. Marches to his own drummer and provides an outsider view to the draftnik consensus.... I get the feel that he doesn't even look at Kiper. He had Thibodeux outside his top 5 DEs last year, for example.

"I really like the guy who didn't even have Kavon Thibodeaux among his top 5 DEs."

Odd flex.

Thanks for sharing.
Yeah Mike Mayock lost a lot of creditability when he was on the Wetz wagon lol
I do like Chris Simms break down watch a lot of College games Sr Bowl, Shrine game my Favorite the Underwear Bowl. :) There are a few guys over at the asylum that really breaks players down and over the years have looked at their sleepers and fits for the Cowboys.

I use the boards and YouTube..and try, key word here, to make my own opinions.

Always try to be open to being swayed.
