Ansah without hesitation. I have him way higher on my board than most here. Kid is a freak with near unlimited potential. I think he showed what he can do in the senior bowl. He was asked to do a lot for BYU's defense like play NT and stand up OLB. I think his stats would have looked a lot better if he played a more traditional DE the majority of his playing time. I see a lot of Jason Taylor or Julius Peppers in him.

Steelers are supposedly in love with Ziggy.

I agree he is a freak just not sure he will produce anything as a rookie other than potential, not what Jason G can hang his hat on this year.
DJ Fluker, Manteo, Cordarelle Patterson, Tavon Austin, Keenan Allen, Jesse Williams DT are on the menu and fit the bill as BPA. I think you are looking at Fluker to try and fix the mistake made by signing Free, but BPA is Manteo or Ansah.

I think theres a pretty chance he goes earlier than that actually, I was just going by who was available according to the OP.

This is my nightmare draft, I would trade back. I don't like anyone left at 18. More value in trade back. Not a fan of Fluker, Anash(way overrated, states and splash plays were awful last year), same for Mingo.

Mingo and Anash are nothing but potential and have a very high bust ratings. No great college stats and both have bad splash play stats.

Ansah or Short would be my choice. I believe selecting a defensive lineman 1st sets the draft up much better than selecting an offensive lineman. I believe there will be a bigger drop off of Dlineman after the first round than Olineman

First I think think this is a very realistic draft order, but the steelers dont pass up Ansah...he will be their pick at 17

With Floyd and Richardson gone...and..Cooper and Warmack off the board...I don't see a real need to keep the pick....I get Jerry Jones working the phones to fall back a few spots...to 23-25 and pick up a 3rd round pick. Then maybe even fall back further.with someone wanting a QB..(if lucky enough) maybe KC of Arizona will want to get back in the first to get a QB...

But in a perfect world I would hope to be out of the 1st round all together and have two 2nd rounders and 2..3rd round picks. Then go for Warford with the high 2nd rounder followed up by Short from Purdue.

I no its wishful thinking

1st Round...fall back gather as many picks as possible
2nd Round OG...Warford..and...DL Short
3rd Round Best Safety and/or OL/RB

The idea that a G will go 7th overall is so preposterous is doesn't even deserve consideration. :laugh2:

Kind of like a mock draft without Richardson in the 1st round.

I'm trying to like Fluker or Ansah, Teo here, but this might mean a trade down to the late 20s. If we want to grab two players late in the 1st we could then Use the extra 2nd and pair with our 47th to move up.

Tough call. Without a trade it would probably be our new starting RT.

I think id take a hard look at ogletree in this scenario and then look guard in rd 2

Fluker, and feel pretty good about it. Can plug in at RT or G for the next decade.

2 guards going in the top 10 is highly unlikely though, in the last 30 years the highest a Guard has been drafted is 17 and that's only happened twice.

I know that's wrong. I remember the Saints taking Chris Naeole 10th overall in the 1997 draft.
