Is it set in stone that Stephen will become owner?

if he does...will he hire a real gm?

Maybe it will be split equally among the three children?

do you think they will sell to the highest bidder and laugh all the way to the bank?

the cowboys are worth so much though it would be hard to find someone with that kind of cash.

saudi prince, bill gates , warren buffet or someone of that ilk.

I think deep down Stephen wants the cowboys to turn this sinking ship around.... but only voices his opinion so much to avoid being cut out of the will.

like it or not...this team will never get back to the glory days until you know what happens.

what do you think would happen?

I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry has it in his will that Stephen can't hire a gm

Stephen 99.9%. They all probably get a piece of it, but Stephen will get control.

do you think he would hire a real gm and let him hire a real coaching staff?

a gm who has say in drafting players we need?

or do you think he would be in total charge like daddy?

Your guess is as good as mine. If another 15 years pass with the same results before this comes to fruition, I would think Stephen would have to get a GM. I don't see them ever selling the team, makes too much money and sets up their generations for a very long time.

what in your opinion is the real reason jerry will not hire a real gm?

Jerry is going to use his connections and money to find the fountain of youth so he never has to give up control of the Cowboys. Now the Billion dollar question is this a dream or a nightmare?

The trio of JJ's offspring will control the team when Jerry departs. Until that happens, everything is pure speculation and no one knows what happens.

If Stephen inherits the team, I predict that he will be a worse owner the daddy and will not hire a GM

He is learning from the best

a few years ago, I couldn't wait for Stephen to take over. I figured he would get some football people around him and rebuild the franchise.

now i think he is going to be Jerry II, as much as I hate it, it is what I think. I could be and hope I am wrong.

He just seems to like the lime light too much the last couple of years.

Estate or "death" taxes alone can sometimes force a sale. There are certain legal maneuvers that can be used to minimize the transfer costs, but with a team valued as much as Dallas, it could be close to $500m. I'm not a lawyer or CPA, but the Yankees just went through this and a lot of people expect the Steinbrenner sons to sell pretty soon.
