I tend to think that Tyson's special teams abilities give him the edge. My hunch is that Keylon is currently the better player though. He just doesn't have the upside.

Summers. You want to talk about the biggest upside? The guy was rated higher than Reggie Bush on some recruiting sites coming out of highschool. If he can keep clean this guy is going to be a real good player. With green and rector returning kicks we'll be fine. Summers gives us the most potential.

Rector set school records for career punt return yardage (1,404), punt returns (112), and kick return average (27.5) in college.

I think Summers may have problems tackling the mental aspect of the game. I don't like saying this on a forum but this kid has some communication problems and is not known as the brightest lite in the box. I'm pulling for him and I suspect his potential may earn him a spot on the PS. If he does better then I'm wrong and he's smarter than I think and much better than I think. He is a good KR and fair on PR. I look for Parcells to try him some at both but I think Green will fair better at PR and Summers better on KR. If we keep 5 RBs I think he has an outside shot.

Barring injury I suspect JJ, MB, and Polite will be the top three. The rest are bidding for 1 or two spots probably two with four RBs and a hybrid in Polite.

From what I have seen of Kincade in the NFL Euro he is not the talant you really want in the NFL, Tyson has the talant but not sure if he has the vision. It will come down to Thompsons return ability, if he does well he's on the team.

I'd guess that Kincade gets cut while Summers goes on to show well in pre-season and makes the roster. We will see in the next few weeks.

Summers needs a year on the practice squad at the very least. He is very raw, and needs to mature. It will be ebtween Kincade and Thompson. While Kincade seems to be a solid guy, he doesn't have anything special about him. Thompson was a decent kick returner last year, and has speed. I'd keep him.

Speed is good but Tyson could have at least 2 td's on kickoffs last year in the first Eagles game (I was watching the videos from it yesterday) if he could have just faked out a kicker. Tyson has one move straight ahead.

I'm guessing JuJo will end up taking the 3rd spot.

:D

Hard to say until we actually see them, If I had to guess I think Thompson will win the job.

I used to think that too but I think part of it is when hes going full throttle he doesn't have the balance to really execute any jukes

I've never seen Summers play before, but I'm looking forward to seeing if he can beat out Thompson.

Polite has gotten several chances in training camp to show if he can run as a short yardage power back. There is a decent chance Polite will get more carries than the 3rd RB (which would pretty much mean that Polite was filling the 3rd RB role, among other things).

This Summers kid is an immense talent. I've watched him since he was in early high school. However he has shown behaviors in the past that exhibit extremely poor judgment, has difficulty speaking well, and has not shown an ability to learn well. I hope he has learned enough from his past behavioral mistakes well while maturing overall.

If they can get him to learn his assignments and to block he can play in the NFL IMO. He is as fast as JJ and has the moves, lateral movement, pass catching ability and power of Barber and JJ. He's got more than Thompson except pure staight speed in other words. And no other back on the team can keep up with Thompson.

If he shows enough he will cause some tough decisions for Bill. Bill may try to hide him. But Bill having tough decisions to make is a good thing for the Cowboys.

It's been awhile since we've had this much talent at RB.

When is the last time we've had this kind of talent with this depth; ever???

Bp said in one of his recent press conferences that he wanted to get Thompson some time with the first string. That may or may not mean anything, but with BP's conservative nature, experience carries a lot of weight.

I believe it will be Thompson with Summers on the practice squad if he clears waivers. Watch the pre-season games. If Summers doesn't get any chances to carry the ball in pre-season, it may be that BP is trying to hide him from the rest of the league's scouts.

From what I saw of Kincade last pre-season, he is just another guy. I'm sure he is working hard and hard work can make up for a lot of things, but it can't make him faster than Thompson.

Part of being a good rb is making people miss. If he can't do that he's just Hambrick with speed.

Hambrick with speed is better than the Hambrick we had.
