Who does Felix Jones remind you of?

The kid is a player. I can't pin down who he reminds me of. But his willingness to burst through the hole and his vision is quite remarkable. He is going to be a weapon for us while causing Defensive Coordinators night mares for years to come.

he reminds me of Julius Jones

rookie year

right down to the last name on the jersey.

reminds me of Felix Jones 22 overall pick in the 08 draft and possibly one of the best backs around:D

he reminds me of a bust.... can we not compare this kid to HoF and be the tad bit serious guys like cmon..... this is worse than the great white hype love obsession

So basically you hate anyone the majority of the board likes.

gotcha.

Nah, I don't think he reminds me of that guy. Its more that one guy who played for Arkansas, but wasn't really the starter but still ran alot guy, who was he?

Julius Jones had a fantastic rookie year, there was alot of excitement about him and I'm not sure what happened.

Felix is gonna go down when he's hit. Mash 90% of the RB's who've ever played go down for the most part on the first solid hit. He's not that type of back and neither were some great backs.

He made several tough runs last night, but what I want from him is to avoid the contact. He did that well and he bounced off of it for postive yards. The one time he was hesitant, he paid for it and I'm sure he'll see that in film study.

I'm not sure what you wanted? Barry Sanders? I mean Barry is about the only back I know that can get yrds when there was absolutely no hole.

The thing I always wonder about Julius is what bulking up did to his running style. I just wonder if he got too large in the upper body. Throw in tape from his first preseason, that Thanksgiving Day game against Chicago, etc., and it's a completely different guy. And I think it goes beyond the robot stuff.

I liked some of what I saw, but lets not kid ourselves here. I think he will be best playing in the game w/ Barber. Mostly screens will be his bread and butter.

Did you already forget about The Barbarian? ;)

161 catches in 2 years....I would love to see Felix achieve that.....yes his YPC is a little below average but this was to be expected consider the norm for RB's is 4.0-4.3 I can see him getting thow so yea i take his 3.7 YPC if he is giving me 75+ catches a year.......

who's the clown ??????

The reason why he's caught so many passes is because he can't RUN, the ball well enough! You're officially on mental igg...

Maybe Julius with vision--you can't deny Felix showed great vision on the field. That was Julius' weakness, so I'll take Julius + vision and look forward to the season.

First NFL experience.

Compare

Felix Jones 6 carries for 32 yards (5.3 ypc), also 2 Passes for 29 yards (14.5)

Tashard Choice 7 carries for 40 yards (5.7 ypc)

With

Rashard Mendenhall 7 carries for 34 yards (4.8 ypc)

Darren McFadden 12 carries for 48 yards (4 ypc)

Whats this supposed to prove? I don't get it nor do I see Felix or Tashard having a 5 YPC during the year.

Its supposed to prove that if either D-Mac or Mendy would have lit up their opposing teams ......

People like you would have been on here screaming "SEE! WE WILL RUE THE DAY!"

(Kinda like what you are doing with CJ)

Because they did not do as well ...... it means nothing.

:laugh2:

Predictably
