Had good luck last year. I always opt for the local florist delivery. I ordered this:

Got This:

Already wilting and looks like they pulled it out of the garbage can. My poor wife tried to tell me she liked them, but I'm pretty upset.

Typical. This is the kind of thing that set off Bill D-Fens Foster in Falling Down, right? This is a Whammy Burger...?

FF to 3:50 :)

Man, so sorry to hear. I actually ordered the same arrangement and got it as ordered. I was a little surprised they made it with the snow. Got it through Groupon, which cut the charges down substantially.

Funny, my buddy just posted something on fb about 1800 flowers, paid extra to have them arrive on Friday and still hasn't received them- didn't mention when he ordered them

FTD got back with me and offered to send my wife new flowers. Ummmm Valentine's Day is over dude. They gave me a refund without hesitation, so at least their customer service is good.

lol when I was 18-19 I used to work at a 1-800 flowers.

They hire a bunch of people for these holidays that have absolutely no idea what they are doing, including myself.

There is no telling how many orders I screwed up much less everyone else that is working there.

Don't ever use that company. Just go to the local Florist and pick something out yourself.

Don't know where you live, but I heard a lot of florists had problems with delivery on Valentines Day, what with all of the snow, and bad weather.

I ordered from 1800-flowers. My wife works at a private school, and usually on a Friday, she is out the door at 3:30ish, but this day, she had to stay after until around 6. She texts me around 4(I told her in advance I was sending her flowers), tells me they are not here, as I am calling them, the UPS driver shows up and delivers them. I told them, it was at a school, I don't understand why it took so long to get there.

They have a policy that they can not guarantee a time when anything will be delivered. Only a date.

The local florist should've know it was a school though. Maybe the florist only had an address and didn't know it was a school?

Looks like the arrangement froze.

It was hand delivered by a local "florist". I think they contract out various florists for certain arrangements. Some come in a box like proflowers. I have had good luck the last couple of years. Next time, I am just going to a local florist.

They specifically ask when purchasing, what type of place. I've ordered before for my wife from them. This is the first time it was shipped UPS.

My wife thinks, at least for her, .. that she is not a fan of roses because sometimes they don't look good when you get them, or last very long. Plus she hates to spend that much money. LOL

So I got her 3 bouquets of spring flowers, (a welcome site in the house after the winter we have been enduring) and she cut them, shaped them, and fixed them into a real nice arrangement. She loves that!

She also took a few and made a nice little arrangement for her husband to give to his mother.

Yes, ... she is wonderful.

I have seen success on zero out of 2 1800flowers orders. One of them arrived 2 days late, the other - for a birthday - simply never showed. I called and they said the order got eaten by the florist's printer - guess they didn't figure I needed to be contacted about it or anything.

I'm done with the online flower orders.
