I think someone who has used performance enhancing drugs, but was never caught is Ken Griffey Jr. He had some incredible numbers during the tainted years of baseball, also got pretty big physically and then has been injured on and off for years.

I might also say Lance Armstrong, but I'm not sure.

Albert Pujols before Griffey
Yeah, especially with this year's numbers. It's a shame that we see some great performances and the first question is " What are they using? "

I have always wondered about Griffey. I wouldn't be shocked if Puhols was dirty also. He came up to fast from the minors.

I had some friends (non cowboy fans) who always said Emmitt was using something because no one can last as long as he did, taking the hits, etc. I said no way!

I don't really buy into the Griffy thing. I mean, it would not surprise me if this news came out tomorrow but he was never overly big as a kid. His father was pretty stout but Griffy Jr. has never really put on unusual amounts of mass IMO. As he got older, his body showed wear and tear on it that is conistant with aging. His power numbers have never come from unusual strength. They were a bi-product of a very sweet swing IMO.

Who really knows? That's the damn shame of it. Because we will never really know, everyone of those cheating SOBs will eventually get into the hall. You can't know.

Funny, if there were one guy who I would guess didn't do steroids, it would be Griff.

It wasn't illegal when he was having his injury issues. That's when they did the random testing that caught ARod and Sosa.

Yeah because Pujols hasn't showed that he is better when they are testing heavily now

FYI, he is on pace to break Roger Maris' HR record this year (yes it is still his record, not Bonds') and over 160 RBIs. Don't fool yourself, he has been tested numerous times by now. He should EASILY break his career high for RBIs (137 in 2006) and should have beat his career high in HRs too (49 in 2006).

Could possibly be the best hitter the game has ever seen. I can't think of a player that has a career average of over .330 and averages almost 40 HRs a year.

I saw Griffey, Jr. hit a home run while he was off balance, had essentially only one hand on the bat to dead center field in old Tigers Stadium in Detroit. It was also raining. That home run was not about a sweet swing, but only about pure strength. The wear and tear on Griffey's body could also be attributed to some sort of performance enhancing substance. He just became too strong for his own body to handle.

There are really no names in baseball or in all of sports for that matter that would surprise me if it was found out they did some sort of performance enhancing drug.

I believe Pete Rose did them. Tom House has already acknowledge taking them during his playing days in the 70s, so they were around when Rose was a player. Plus look at Pete's head. It is huge. "I'm not kidding, it's like an orange on a toothpick. That's a virtual planetoid. Has it's own weather system."
