Can't believe Sunday is almost here and football is already back. Before you know it, there will be a cool autumn breeze in the air and the Dallas Cowboys on TV. So stoked!

Whos with me?

Cool autumn breeze? Unfortunately, the wife and I are moving back to Houston in two weeks for a year or so. Three years in Cali has spoiled us and I am not looking forward to the heat and humidity :( Houston may get some relief in late Dec or early Jan,heh

But yes, I am pumped and ready to go!

Pre-season games are like getting a terrible gift. You are excited about the gift, then you open it and it is crap.

This is more like Thanksgiving Eve for me, quality holiday but there's no hiding that it's just all build up to the real Christmas, the SNF opener.

To be honest, preseason games are my least favorite time of the entire football year. Literally, the entire year, including free agency, the draft, and all those dead periods during the spring. It's made even worse by the constant airing of the same games on the NFL Network throughout the week. I'll turn on the NFL Network on a Wednesday or Thursday thinking I might catch some club's starters in action, but I always tune in during the fourth quarter of a 56-3 blowout to watch people who'll be sacking groceries the next week. Then, when I tune back in hours later hoping to see something else, it's the same dang part of the same dang game.

I don't think anyone is overly excited to watch pre-season, all it means is we are that much closer to the real thing!

If I get stoked for this my head will explode in week 1. This is more like St. Patricks day.
