Who gets you more back in a trade, Lamb or Pickens?

No doubt lamb would bring more. He’d also cost you to trade him. To me we need to find a way to keep both. That may not be possible if Pickens insists on setting the market. But my gut says he will be here next year, after that who knows. I don’t think Pickens would bring enough in a trade to make the trade make sense. So he’s either gonna sign or plsy on the tag. And I know he won’t like it but it’s to his advantage to put up a monster year so he gets paid the next year

You can always tag him and decide what you want to do long term by the trade deadline.

I think they tag him and he plays on the tag or signs. He won’t bring enough in a trade to make a trade worth it. But we shall see. They are certainly tagging him and they want to sign him. But I don’t think they set the market with him and I’m not sure any other team would trade for him knowing he wants that type of deal. He was available to every team for a low price when we got him. He had a great year but every team knew his talent. They didn’t pass on the talent, they passed on the guy

So are you saying his play last year didn't increase his value? You might want to rethink that.

Maybe don't let them trigger you? It's not worth it.
Oh if I were triggered you would see my reply right now only but I wouldn't!! Thanks for the words, they don't bother me, sometimes you just have to call it out without going too far

It may have some but not significantly. Everyone knew his ability. His skill set isn’t what we got him fairly cheap. It wasn’t why more teams didn’t try to get him. Talent wasn’t the issue

Right so they're forgetting that CD Lamb is career has played better than George Pickens, without George Pickens on the other side ,as if Lamb needs protection that bad, maybe 2023 is completely so far in the rearview some people, they don't realize that both Prescott and Lamp without much of anything else offense with an outdated offensive scheme and Mike McCarthy calling plays, had one of the best quarterback /receiver duos in the history of the Dallas Cowboys/ and it ranks really high/ all time in the NFL..

CD lamb doesn't need help, but we don't know yet if George Pickens, so he played two games without Lamb doesn't mean he's arrived,

I mean I like both, I don't know why these keep coming up that's just nonsense anyway, if it was an equal footing as far as if Lamb did have a contract he has, I think you about the same for either right at this point ,but if I had to break the tide, lamb you can get more with Lamb because he's done it since he's a rookie....

He's done it in all scenarios where GP has done it, when he came to an offense like this, I mean we saw two games out of Flournoy, drop over 100 had great game, what did that say, says the offense is really good, Dak is really goo

so maybe we're over selling Pickens a little...

CD balled out in 2023 without Pickens. Pickens played well with CD, but both are extremely talented.
I think that is the thing that gets lost on people.

Speaking purely player (not team) wise, Pickens took catches away from Lamb, so Lamb's solid season in 2025 (minus the drop issues) would have likely been better if Pickens was not on the team.

At the same time, Pickens benefited greatly from having Lamb on the other side making it much harder for teams to double or triple team or fade their protection over against Pickens consistently.

That's not criticizing or disminishing either receiver's abilities but simply saying that one of the reasons they both had great 2025 seasons was because they both had each other splitting the defense's focus.

It's no different with other NFL teams that have two great wider receivers. As the cliche goes, "pick your poison" in those situations.

:hammer:This is true,

but we've seen Lamb do this on his own since it was a rookie, and in 2023, was all alone...

We know he can do it, we've seen it ,

we've never seen George do it .

That's the reason he got traded for 3rd round pick, He has the talent, but it would have not seen him be number one...

remember one of AC left, I remember all the talk that there were people out there, some real delusional people ,that said CD Lamb was not a true number one, and would suffer without A.Cooper taking heat off him, and they were very wrong, again see 2023,

let's see George Pickens do that on his own with nothing on the other side; no real run game; no real good scheme, or play caller..
