Who Has A Better Chance Of Making A Deep Playoff Run?

They asked Schlereth or however you spell his name on OTL who is more dangerous between the Giants and Boys and who has a better chance of making a deep playoff run and to my surprise he said the Cowboys. His reasoning was that the Tony Romo is playing great football and they have great weapons on offense. Who has a better chance at making a deep playoff run?

Gotta figure the run game would be important against GB. Giants are last in rushing the ball and can't stop the run either. Eli Manning turns the ball over far more than Romo, and everything we complain about on our defense, the Giants defense does worse.

I really don't understand how the giants (3-4 at home) are favorites in our upcoming meeting.

With Romo, Witten, our top 3 WRs and Felix all healthy we can score an unreal amount of points.

Now for the game against the Giants I don't know how healthy Romo actually is. I'm not 100% sure about Felix''s hamstring but he looked pretty good against Philly for the carries he got in the 1st quarter.

If you think about the whole season the only games we were really in that situation was Tampa and the Giants. We put up 62 points in 1.5 games before we called off the dogs in the TB game at the half.

We can beat anyone when the OL shows up and the skilled players are healthy. The other thing is the skilled players being healthy (especially Miles) makes teams worry about blitzing us and giving up that 1-on-1 matchup as Miles will burn whoever is carrying him quickly and then can take it to the end zone with his RAC ability. Dez is not quite there yet in ability to get separation and Robinson is not good against press coverage and that limited us earlier in the season.

Right now justed interested in beating NY. If we do that then we will get a shot at Alt or Det.

If we lose the guys go home and we settle in for a long off season.

Two different questions.

The 2nd question assumes the team is in the playoffs and having a 1st round home game....then being cabalble of winning beyond that.

The 1st question was this game only in NY with Feliz and Tony banged up.

I agree with both of his answers. The Giants should be favored this week, but the Cowboys are slightly more dangerous if they make the playoffs.

The Cowboys are certainly scarier IMO. You don't know what to expect from them, but you know that the game will generally be close and hard fought. You know what to expect from the top NFC teams, and even the wild card teams, but not the Cowboys.

You're right.
They've played 5 games against teams currently in the playoff picture as of week 17. Every single game was decided by 4 points or less and came down to the very end. They went down to the wire and split the games vs the two top seeded teams that they played (NE and SF).

the boys are 1-3 in those four games i think. in the three loses they found a way to lose.

Both secondaries are not playing well, the difference being the Cowboys' is actually capable of good football whereas the Giants' secondary is just stinky.

I think other NFC playoff teams should be concerned about the Cowboys getting in.

If we ever figure out a way to stop beating ourselves late in games, we would be very dangerous in the post season.

We are capable of beating anybody.
