You all are going to laugh but its true..................................JAY CUTLER...Do you believe it?

No surprise at all that he might have the strongest arm. Stafford wouldn't have surprised me either.

But that'd be pretty shocking if he was also the same guy who killed it in the weight room.

That would explain all the ints, strong arm can be great it can also be a killer when the QB is trying to force throws into small areas relying so much on the arm strength. Bret Favre as good as he was, was also a guy who always felt his arm strength would allow him to gamble on tight windows.

That discussion of weight-lifting for sure wouldn't tell us who can throw the ball the hardest. Those two almost never intersect.

But here's so e trivia; David Garrard could go to his knees and still throw the ball threw the goal posts from beyond mid field. So basically a 70 yard throw from his knees.

But he's no longer active, so not him.

It's close between 4 guys, IMO.

Stafford, Cutler, Newton, and Kaepernick

But Flacco stands out to me over those guys.

Newton, Cutler and Kaepernick can really rifle a ball, but I'll take Flacco's high arching 60 yard bombs.

How far you throw it down the field is not a great indicator of arm strength, throwing the deep outs on a line does. Jim Harbaugh when he was QB he could throw a nice deep ball but the man could not connect on the outs without the ball floating on him leading to some easy picks.

True. Distance isn't that great of an indicator. Romo can throw a 55-60 yarder, but he's not going to zip a deep sideline comeback. I was more focusing on the trajectory Flacco's passes take. They're like mortar shells and DBs have a tough time defending them because of how difficult the angle is to compensate for. I just don't see those high arching bombs from most QBs.

Big kid with a big arm.
