Who here been to Lubbock Texas?

Going to take a vacation at caprock canyon and might stay in Lubbock. Is Lubbock not bad to stay visit for a day?

Me, lots of times. Lubbock is an awful place visually but with good people. It has the feel of an oil town rather than a college town but it's better than Odessa. The State Park is pretty cool especially if your in to Cherokee history because that was their backyard. There's some descent places to eat like Cast Iron Grill, and La Diosa Cellars. Check the events calendar at The Blue Light downtown, they get some pretty good live music coming through. You'll also only be about an hour and a half away from Palo Duro Canyon which is infinitely better than Caprock canyon SP and Quanah Parker's stomping grounds.

Been to Palo duro... loved it
