Who here really believes that Bledsoe...

If Bledsoe had to carry the team - no. I still believe that the team has enough talent to compete for a championship. If they have no key injuries and a little luck, I could see the team winning a championship with Bledsoe at the helm.

QB play is not everything. Marino never won a superbowl, but Trent Dilfer and Kurt Warner did. Ben Roethlisburger was absolutely pathetic in the biggest game of his life, but the team compensated and still won.

In the salary cap age, you can win a superbowl with an average to above average quarterback. In the losses to Jacksonville and Philadelphia, it took more than just bad QB play for us to lose.

I'm a lil late to this thread but I think Drew is more than capable of taking the boys all the way. The question is, Is this Offensive line just as capable of winning the big game? I'm not too sure.

I think Bledsoe CAN take us all the way, but I don't think it's likely.

In the playoffs consistency is the standard - you can't afford one bad game or it's all over.

I'm not sure that Romo can lead us there either - particularly not this year considering his inexperience, but if Bledsoe doesn't get on the right track quickly and stay there for several consecutive games I think we have to give Romo the chance.

Bledsoe will press.
Bledsoe will slip and hurt.
Bledsoe will fall.
Bledsoe will look up from the ground and see Deja-vu.
Bledsoe will never play again for the Cowboys.

Romo emerged from nowhere at this particular time and place for a reason. Let's have patience and let this one play out. I have no doubt that this will be his team by year's end.

There's excitement in the air for this one. Doesn't happen to often. And I don't mean fake-excitement like Henson-excite, Chad-exite or Q-excite, this is different. People are starting to say he's special and at every chance recently he's shown he's special by his play, so what if it hasn't been during a regular season game. Oh and look who was right over by TO's side during a lot of the game. Either kissing butt...or perhaps already assuming that leadership role and trying to calm the star receiver himself? Where was Drew?

can take us all the way, i had some hope that if the defense turns up big, that the Ol supposedly better than last year Bledsoe could drive the bus all the way to Miami! But after last sundays game i'm convinced that with bledsoe at QB, we could maybe get to the playoffs, maybe win one game there, but no more than that, as always when he gets pressured he makes mistakes, so why not give romo a chance, at least we will know if he is really the future, if not let,s draft someone high next year! i believe there are no former parcell's QB's left!

I don't because he has never done it in his career, and this team just has too many holes. If the defense steps up, and it has to regardles of who plays quarterback, then Bledsoe might lead the team to the playoffs, but he gets rattled too easily, and he can't take pressure. Getting pressure and beating it ios one thing, but Bledsoe can't operate under pressure, in my opinion.

I'm really not sure if Bledsoe so can do it. I was hopeful at the beginning of the year and now I'm not sure.

I do think the recipe for him doing it is good defense, good running game, and great protection. If he gets that we have a chance.

The promised land is WINNING the Super Bowl, not setting the record for interceptions in it, or watching a far superior player win it for you.

This team is going nowhere with Bledsoe, I will still watch, its like a watching a car crash, in 17 week long slow motion.

I agree. Bledsoe is a tease. He will look good against mediocre teams, nd if he finishes the season, will probably lead the Cowboys to a 10-6 record. However, that will not be good enough to get homefield advantage. Meaning we would go on the road against a team like Chicago or Carolina, and Bledsoe will get blitzed on nearly every play and lose us the game again. I have no faith in Bledsoe anymore. I will continue to root for him and the Cowboys, but I just cannot see Bledsoe leading the Cowboys all the way to the SB. It's a shame though, because this is a 12-4 or 13-3 calibre team if Bledsoe can just play calm and focus under pressure.

I believe he can. Not willing to put any money on it though. Trent Dilfer and Jeff Hostetler have Superbowl rings.

I don't think he can. I have seen nothing from him since his signing with the Cowboys that leads me to believe he can win 3 or 4 games in a row in January.

No he can't lead us to a championship.

He's the most flawed "big-name" QB... perhaps ever. He's too easily defensed.

Now there is an unequivical answer that I agree with. Bledsoe is the biggest "name" quarterback to have never done anything.

Your exactly right. Lookit - we all agree Bledsoe has been utter garbage up to this point. Maybe some who are seriously anti-Bledsoe believe this is really him, but I don't.
I'm curious -- why don't you? Serious question.

I'll route for the Cowboys to make it to the Super Bowl, no matter which QB that may be. I think Drew will be fine, the O-line just needs to step up, along w/ the RB's when they are staying in to block. If Drew gets protection, he's fine.
hey stevo what is your sig?

I happen to agree. I think that is why everybody is so devastated over the loss to the Eagles, not because it was a loss to a division rival, because everybody started to realize that Bledslow cannot win a big game on the road against a pressure defense. That means probably an early exit from the playoffs since we are not going to have homefield. Does anybody actually thing Bledslow could go into Chicago and beat the Bears in late January against the NFL's #1 ranked D?

Most Boyz fans would probably vote no after watching the Eagle game, sad but true:(
