Who is 24th in quarterback ratings thus far and leads the NFL in interceptions?

Some of us are old enough to remember how crappy Aikman looked whenever he had a crappy supporting cast.

Started 0-2 in 1993 while Emmitt was holding out. Offense was in the toilet. Emmitt comes back to win MVP and SB MVP that year.

Booed off the field, at home, in the late '90s.

Dak sucked yesterday, but there isn't a QB alive who would shine with the garbage Dak is dealing with around him right now. On both sides of the ball.
Good post and I agree that Dak's supporting cast is certainly part of the problem. The blame falls on a lot of people not just Dak. My concern stems from watching players on many occasions this season laughing and joking around when the team is losing. It occurred again yesterday with the Lions up 3 touchdowns. Has the team already checked out? It also puzzles me how flippant coaches and players and JJ have been when questioned about losses. The whole 'it is what it is', deal with it' attitude which annoys me beyond measure.

Was just going to post this. I know every qb catches a break here and there with a dropped pick but he's gotten away with 4+ already in the first 6 games.

Could easily be double digits already
And, inexplicably, Dakchoka keeps throwing into double coverage.

Where are the Horsemen? Things so bad (good in their case) they are laying low and just watching from afar people doing their dirty work. Lol

Eli Manning led the league in interceptions 3 times and is likely going to the HOF. I know. I know. He also participated in winning 2 Super Bowls. I just wanted to throw shade on Eli Manning.

Dak is bad you say. Probably has to force the ball to a certain $35 million receiver.
Eli was clutch in the playoffs. You left that part out. Our boy has been the opposite of clutch in the playoffs

I shall give you handsome louts a hint: He's the highest paid Quarterback in the NFL.
Dak Prescott

Our failed QB has a 48.7 QR (24th among NFL QBs)
https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

And our albatross for the next four years also has 6 interceptions.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player

Only Mahomes and Geno Smith have 6 INTs, but Mahomes is a winner and Smith has more passing yards than Dak.

Four more years of that Dak chump and the Cowboys will be the richest franchise in the world but in the trash heap of failed teams.

Why, Yoda, why?
Take cover

I'm still not convinced Dak is good at reading defenses. I think that's been his problem throughout his career especially with teams that like to switch up their defensive looks. Teams are going to continue to blitz knowing Dak is prone to error under pressure and the OL is underperforming.
Historically isn't Dak one of the best QBs vs. the blitz?

Ohhhh! I get it!
If Dak is surrounded by stars he can succeed!
That is brilliant, just as brilliant as comparing Dak to Troy.

Cherish that memory because it's not going to happen in our lifetime. Thing is, this fool thinks he did it the first time around and we all know it was Jimmy. Jimmy's gone and this old fool still thinks he's got the answers.
You never know. Jerry's pretty old...

No Eli is not going to the HOF. he has nowhere near the cred
the voters know he lucked into the one SB win with the Helmet Catch and he has nowhere near the ALL PROS or PRO BOWLS needed to make it
Simply not there
he only has the stats he had because he played so long and stayed healthy
Frankly he is only a somewhat better Vinny Testeverde
If Kenny Stabler is in the HOF, and he should be, then Eli will be, too.

Yeah, pretty much.

If you knew anything about football (which you don't), you'd know that Troy Aikman wouldn't have won JACK without arguably the best OL in NFL history, Emmitt Smith and the NFL's #1 defense.

Team sport.

Jerry wanted Troy to "step up" and carry the team in 1993 while Emmitt was holding out.

Result: garbage offense, 0-2 record, Jerry caves to Emmitt's contract demands.

Can you read?

I'll repeat: Dak sucked yesterday. Absolutely deserves his share of the blame.
Get a grip. Dak threw 2 INTs yesterday. Could have had 4. Has a 48 QB rating. Is 2-5 in the playoffs. His hyped team is 3-3. Dak touches the ball on every play. He is the recognized leader on the field. He sucks by every metric except his padded stats.
Yes, blame the rest, too, old fellow.

I'm no Dak apologist - yet believe in justice.

The O-line is one of the worst in recent Cowboy memory. Tom Brady in his prime would have his work cut out to put together a TD drive against a top team with this pathetic unit.

What happened to the HOF-bound Zach Martin, who held his employer hostage for a massive pay increase? He has been totally M-I-A ever since he cashed that check.
There's just constant excuses for Dak. It's just been like 5 years oh excuses it feels.

I wasn't responding to you.

You're uneducated and you don't know football. I respect my 6-year-old niece's football opinions more than yours.

Tell me more about how awesome our offense looked without Emmitt Smith in 1993!

"Lead the way, Troy!!!"

Week 1: Lost 35-16 vs Washington
Week 2: Lost 13-10 vs Buffalo

Is 13.0 PPG good??????

Now he’s not even a good regular season QB. The guy lucked into playing for a mega-rich fool.

Runner up MVP!
