Now we have all read the rumors about dallas trading to select mcfadden. What player in your opinion would be worth making a move for in picks 5-15 to make a splash in the draft?

I wouldnt mind trading to the 7th or 8th pick to get a top notch cornerback...

There is no "must draft" for McFadden. We just need to look at a good CB and a speedster to split carries with Barber.

I want Cromartie but hope there no need to move up for him unless he has outstanding Combine. I'd also like James Hardy; think he's another TO & Randy Moss potential WR. Can live with Felix Jones but hate to use a first rounder on him when CB & WR bigger needs. If TO goes down, our passing game for the most part goes down to. Witten is a great TE but he lacks speed; same goes for Crayton & Hurd neither of whom stretch the field and Austin hasn't figured out yet how to consistently catch the ball. As for Stanbach, who knows what he can be. BTW: Don't buy into this bit about drafting a WR in first rounder is too chancey but also realize there might be a few WRs in 2nd round who could be of value. However the reality is the Cowboys have a very late 2nd round pick and highly valued WRs probably will be long gone. We need a WR who can become a #2 and eventually a #1 to replace TO or all that money Jerry paid for Romo will go to waste.

I would not trade up with a gun to my head unless it was at most about 4 spots for a guy so high on our draft board that getting him would be a very real coup.

This team is too close not to use this Draft to build very real depth and it is too far away to roll the dice that one player is such a must have that everything else can be sacrificed.

If Mike Jenkins from South Florida is some how on the board Dallas has to pull the trigger.

Im starting to like Rodgers-Cromartie as well.

I haven't seen him play other than the Sr bowl but he looks like he can play.

I think we're in position to overspend if we fill we want more Quality over Quantity.

I believe we already have the most talented roster in the NFC and our depth is as good as anyones.

Of course some positions could use extra depth but if Dallas wants to give up 2 1st's for D Mac then I think they have earned that right.

If they want to give up a 1st & 3rd for Roy Williams then im fine with that as well.

We can be as flexible as we want to be this offseason in my opinion.

Given what the Giants defensive line did to Brady, Sedric Ellis.

The only player I would move into the top 5 for is Long, and even then I'd be pretty pi$$ed if we did.

W/ the exception of WR, this draft is deep at the positions of "need". If we stay put, we should still get quality and retain the picks needed to move up. Those picks will be valuable to build positional and special teams depth.

The late 1st round is pretty deep with RBs, WRs, and CBs. There's very little reason to trade up when there's so many options who should be available if we stay put.

Hopefully the run on QBs starts around the 20th pick and Dallas can turn their 2 picks into 3 or 4 picks. The draft is deep for CB, RB and the WRs are more late first, 2nd round types.

I just don't see tha6t happening. There's only going to be one QB taken in the first round and he'll be gone in the top 3. After that I don't see a QB taken until maybe the top 3rd of the 2nd round.

I could be wrong, though. It wouldn't be the first time.

Well since some dont favor trading up... I feel the major needs for the cowboys to get over the hump and into the super bowl is; OL, ILB, DB, WR and then RB.

Offensive line because we might lose flo and even with flo, tony was running for his life way too often. Granted he usually made a play from this but we need to give him more time and we need to definately improve our run blocking.

LB because we just need better inside linebacker play period.

DB because we need a viable 3rd cornerback, but getting a cb that is better than reeves shouldnt be too hard maybe even same level as reeves but just different style of player.

Wr can definately add a 3rd WR/ project 2nd wr

and RB play will improve when the offensive line improves

What is your view on trading down? Would you do a deal like Cleveland last year? If you found two teams willing to do a deal like Cleveland would you trade away both #1's to have 3 #1's next year? Would any of the second rounders crack our lineup?
