I am trying to get a feel for remaining games for Dallas / Philly. Can someone help me? I would like to know in this scenario who would win the NFC East.

Dallas remaining games:
Oakland- win
Chicago- win
Green Bay- loss
Washington- loss
Philly- loss

Philly remaining games:
Arizona- loss
Detroit- loss
Minnesota- win
Chicago- loss
Dallas- win

Both teams end 8-8 in this hypothetical. Could someone tell me who wins the division. I am lost on tiebreakers. Thanks.

Cowboys would win.

Here's the playoff generator if anyone is confused with tiebreakers. Just click weeks 13 through 17 on who you think will win and it seeds the teams. It's fun to mess around with.

Here's another fun link for division probability. Though it still has to be been updated after our win.

I think we'll end up with 3-2 (beating skins) in last 5 games and finish 9-7.

If we win three more we will win the division in my opinion.

We have some soft defenses to go up against that I think we can score on if our offense can get going.

I think the Eagles will lose three more out of that schedule they have to face.

We are undefeated in the division....even if we lose 2 in the division, we still have the best division record which is the first tie breaker.

common opponents is before conference record...not sure if the common opp record would be the same or not

its not entirely fool proof...but its almost a certainty...if the cowboys get to 9 wins..they will more than likely make the playoffs in a tiebreaker scenario...

there is at least one scenario in which dallas doesnt get in...but for the most part, just about every scenario in this case has dallas getting in...

so hope we get to 9 and that philly doesnt get to 10...

If you think we can beat Bears on the road, then you should think we can beat the Commanders on the road too, even for being a division opponent.
Yes I know its a scenario, but just throwing that out there.

Commanders have pretty much quit after monday night...should be an easy win tbh which means the eagles have to play a game better than the boys to win the division.

We're going to lose to Green Bay without Rodgers and to Washington? Did you see the Commanders last night?

Or are those not your picks and you're just throwing out a hypothetical? If so I think Dallas gets in.

The common opponents record right now is the Cowboys are 4-3 and the Eagles are 3-4 with the difference being we swept the Giants and the eagles split with them.

The Eagles have 3 more games against common opponents of the Cowboys: DET, @MIN, CHI
The Cowboys have 4 more games against common opponents of the Eagles: OAK, @CHI, GB, @WAS

So if the Cowboys can win 3 of those games with one of them being @WAS then that last game of the season could end up meaning nothing. This all depends on if the Eagles lose a couple of more games before that final game also. There is a lot of games left but I would like to get at least a game ahead of the Eagles before that last game.

you can eliminate division games from common opponents...the only way it gets to common opponents is if the division records are the same...

as of right now the eagles have a better record vs common opponents than we do...hopefully it doesnt get to common opponents...beat was or philly and we own every tiebreaker

I think Rodgers will be back by the time we play GB. Only the Eagles and Giants got the free wins vs backups.

Well it appears you may be right since he was going through drills at practice today.

Our guys take 2 months to get over a sprain and this guys is coming back from a broken collar bone in half that time.

Figures.
