I thought this would be an interesting discussion because we are in a situation where it is common agreement that our QB is far from our best player, but he does play the most important position.

Who is our MVP? Discuss and vote.

Byron Jones gets my vote.

without Zeke we probably have 2 wins

We're humped without Zeke.

He's elite at his position, we've got nothing behind him, and he's the focus of plays more than anyone but Dak.

Can't say that about anyone else. Of course you're screwed without your QB. Most all teams would be. But Dak is not elite. He's often a problem.

Though Dak really is not that far off from elite. At least here. He's got issues now that seem correctible. The fumbling lately seems just weird. Sideline deep ball accuracy is poor. But think how the offense could roll by just fixing those.

Well, if we were talking about "best" player, that's a tough call. We have a lot of excellent players.............but when I think of the MVP, I think about who on this team definitely could not be satisfactorily replaced by someone else on this team, and the only player I can think of whose absence would cause certain loss is...........Dak.

That's not to say I feel he's the best player on the team, just the only one for whom we definitely don't have a suitable replacement.

It’s a good thing when you have multiple players worthy of the title. I’d say LVE and Zeke have been the two heavy hitters for the team, with Cooper,Lawrence,J.Smith ect, folllowing behind. And in Coopers case,it’s only because of his shorter time played, because you could easily throw him in the conversation after the things he’s done for the offense, and mega games he’s been having. One of the best in season FA acquisitions of all time. I think overall,I’d have to give it to Zeke. He’s been the one carrying the extra weight to keep them going all year, while the offense figures out things out. Heavy physical work too, against tough 8 man fronts all season without a adequate pass game, and behind a unstable and injury ridden o-line. Been going through all the games again, and he’s been their center of gravity player. His highlight reel this year,is a dossier on the definition of a what a top franchise RB is. Just a monster of a player this season, improving not only on his receiving skills, but his blocking skills to go with his physical running and finishing power. His effect is that of having a defensive player on offense.
