It's the season opener 2027. We're at home and the Cowboys just had their banner ceremony for the 6th title. After a quick 3 and out with two Barham sacks, the Sam Howell led offense trots on the field to a standing ovation.

Who is starting at RT?

Neither. The issue with Broderick for 2027 is if you go with him as your starter you have to pay him starter money. Steele might actually be the more likely candidate just because of the money involved.

My guess is we are looking to the draft for a 2027 starter to save money to extend Pickens.

Broderick will put enough bad tape out there that his deal will be friendly. Plus Dallas will have multiple high picks and cash to find a replacement when they trade 4.

...according to eyes on tape, Broderick will get job because of mobility.

He can get off his blocks and move to 2nd tier, help run game.

Pass blocking is up in the air.

I could say 2nd rd draft pickee. But even then we'll have to see how even Guyton fairs this year, as it could swing to a possible 1st rd guy, with Guyton moving to RT.

To throw a 3rd rd pick on Broderick Jones, suggest that this is our 2027 third round pick . and very soon starter at RT.

Steele is gone after this year, imo.
Never been near the same since that ACL injury, imo

Someone not currently on the roster. Possibly a first round pick.

No he shouldn't.
You just don’t get it. Shelton can easily go from getting beat by 3rd stringers to handling Myles Garrett in one offseason. With klayton Adam’s all things are possible….except the development of Nate Thomas, getting plus play from your $11m RT, etc.

RT has to be a priority in the draft (by priority I mean if a tackle is BPA in first or second round you take them).

Or a priority in FA.

It cannot be Steele again.

I have zero faith in Broderick but I’ll hope for the best.

I really appreciate the priority they’ve placed on both offensive tackle positions this season.

They knew they needed to get better and they’ve taken numerous steps to do so.

In my mind, that deserves credit.

They challenged Guyton and gave Nate Thomas an opportunity to compete. Thomas failed and was shipped out.

And now they’ve invested in a talented former first round draft pick to compete with Steele at right tackle because he hasn’t played well.

Accountability.

Play to the standard or we will replace you.

I chose neither because I think the Cowboys will be choosing an OT in the draft next April. That would have been my plan going into this season.

The problem is, if the Cowboys defense is really improve they will be drafting late in the first round and there won't ben any top OTs left.

Making the problem worse, Guyton hasn';t exactly be stellar either. We could see Jones at LT next year with a rookie playing RT.

IF we are starting Steele next season it is because we have blown the team up and we have a sacrificial QB starter
