Who is the home team for the Super Bowl?

Does the NFL flip between the AFC and the NFC each year to determine the home team or is it a flip of the coin?

Would be strange to be the visiting team in your own home stadium and have to dress in the opposite locker room.

I read that the NFC will be the home team this year in the SB. Evidently they alternate this year will be the NFC hosting.

You know, I thought about this too. That would be awful to have to use the visitor's locker room and not be able to practice at Valley Ranch, but probably some high school. Of course, we're way ahead of ourselves here. The Cowboys would have to get there first. But I sure hope the NFC is the home team this year.

They alternate year to year. The NFC is designated home team this year.
