Prince Bandar.
IRVING — Dallas Cowboys executives, scouts and coaches weren’t the only people in the Cowboys’ war room Thursday night for the first round of the NFL draft.
Cowboys executive vice president Charlotte Anderson Jones – Jerry Jones’ daughter – said that Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan’s son, Faisal, was in the team’s draft room. Bandar bin Sultan, a member of the House of Saud, was Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States from 1983 to 2005 and he’s a good friend of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
Faisal wore a Cowboys pull-over and sat in the corner of the team’s draft room throughout the first round. Most of the time, Faisal sat right behind Cowboys coach Jason Garrett in the room. At times, members of the Jones family talked to Faisal in the room during the first round of the draft.
