Of all the players Dallas should draft, which blue chip player is the most likely to deliver on expectations? The first round, especially the top 5, is not a time to take a gamble. I've not had adequate time to study the draftable players this year, so what's your opinion?

Even if its not a position of need, getting an all- Pro Bowl caliber player is a massive upgrade to the team. Who has the best guarantee not to bust?

On your qualifications? Zeke is the only surefire bet to be All Pro IMO.

This.

No team is going to want to go 4 qts with our OL and this guy.

But we don't have the coaching staff to see it.

If they truly are committed to winning with Romo..

Then handing off to this guy 20+ times a game is the answer.

DMac can get split out in passing formations and pitched out to wide..

Tunsil....but safest doesn't mean the best pick for us.

Depends on your definition of "safe."

Most likely to have a long career: Tunsil or Elliot
Most likely to start as a rookie: Tunsil or Elliot
Most likely to participate in Pro Bowls : Tunsil or Elliot
Most possible Hall of Famers: Jack or Ramsey

Long career for a RB?

The elite backs typically have long careers.

You mean Adrian Peterson? Which other recent elite back had a long career? Chris Johnson was great. His peak lasted about 2 years. Leveon Bell was looking like the next big thing. He's been inured for most of the past few years. DeMarco Murray had a career year and then did nothing. Who is an elite back year after year besides AP?

The longest, somewhat consistent careers in recent years I can think of are Chris Johnson, Arian Foster, Jamaal Charles, and Marshawn Lynch. (Let me know if you have any more names.) And I wouldn't consider any of their careers to be terribly long or consistent. Chris Johnson is 30 and his last really good year was when he was 26. Foster hasn't played a full season since he was 26 and looks like his days may be over at only 30 years old. Charles is only 29, has been decline since about 26, and has missed the majority of multiple seasons due to injuries. And didn't Lynch just retire at 29?

I think the only "elite backs" of the last 15 years or so has been LT and AD. You only take Zeke at 4 if you see a hall of fame caliber player in terms of production and durability. Curtis Martin and Frank Gore have also shown great durability and both of them have played in the modern era.
