Who is the weakest link?

I would be split between Return Man and Free Safety.

Our offense generated great yardage stats, but finished middle of the pack in scoring. Some would rightfully point to penalties and negative plays diffusing drives, but overlook the fact that our offense usually had to drive the length of the field to score due to a ho-hum return game and very few turnovers by the Defense.

Return Game: We were 20th in kick return yardage in 2009, averaging 22 yards. For his career, Crayton has always been an average return man outside of his two touchdown returns after being benched.

Free Safety: Dallas was tied for fifth worst in the league in interceptions, with Mike Jenkins providing almost half of our 11 total. Ken Hamlin had zero interceptions. One positive to this is that Sensabaugh will not play with a cast next season and should easily add to that one total pick in 2009. The other assist would be if Dallas can replace Hamlin with a player that can get the ball and help the offense with a shortened field.

O-line is a high priority as well, but I don't know if anyone we draft will actually start on this team from day 1 like these other two positions could do.

No kidding. Too bad Cribbs is being wasted with the Browns. He's friggin amazing. Makes one realize what a real kick returner looks like.

That is a great sig. Very nice!!

Weakest position: Head Coach. We have a Def Coord as HC.

I was just thinking the same thing......great Sig. I just hope the photo was taken before Spitaro's visit.:

I'd say OL as a unit was our weak link. Not that it was a bad unit. Just the teams weakest and by far it's oldest.
So with that said I want OL in numbers.

Either safety (Sensabaugh I guess, since Hamlin was just signed)-- other than that, just more depth would be nice. Especially along the offensive line.

Kick Returner.

...but you have to go with the loss of points we had on this season. The people we have signed to compete for the job are exactly that...just people.

Right now we don't have a kicker we can hang on our hat on.

The next weakest link I would say is Fullback given Anderson's latest run in and what will happen from that.

I'm seeing a lot of that here. Do you really think S was the weak link? IDK I must be missing something.
Not saying Hamlin was great or even very good. But I didn't see our Safties as a liability and I thought Sensabaugh was outstanding.
I also think we have some young options with upside in Mike Hamlin and Ball.

I'd rank our needs in this order:

1)OL- Oldest starting five in football.
2)OL
3)WR/PR - Speed and quickness needed.
4)MLB - Brookings is a goodie, but and oldie.
5)NT - Some big body to gives us quality snaps at both NT and DE.
6)FS - This is last for me.

Which position, offense defense or both, do you think is in most need of replacing?
offense- Kosier (he's serviceable and I remember how bad it was w/out him-Proctor :ralph:- , but we could use an upgrade w/ more size & strength, IMO)

defense- Hamlin (again, he's not terrible but gimme a FS who can make a few plays back there)

S/T- Kicker (that's a no-brainer, though! Unfortunately for Hos we do need to have one on the roster...and hopefully one who can MAKE kicks when needed!!)

Both tackles, Kosier, K. Hamlin, RW11

I'd like one of our ILB to be really athletic and catalytic but its not 100% necessary.

Jason garrett and his inability to effectively use all the tools at his disposal.

Offensive line needs a make over, NOW, Jerry.

Not a year late.:)

RT
LG

Get me two new starters.

Free starts, period, point blank, as DC Fanatic says.

Get me some offensive line depth.

Get me a kicker who hasn't got the yips.

I want Cory Proctor gone.

I want a LT or two to groom or who can play now.

I can go with this except for Hamlin. I'm a Hamlin fan, but I think we need depth behind Ratliff.

Kicker. When they call you over in Red Rover, who would you rather run through Shaun Suisham or Marc Colombo?

Sorry, been a long night. ;)
