Mike Mayock (NFLN draft guy) tried to explain why Romo wasn't drafted. He said scouts may not have liked his 3/4 delivery, and that sometimes a scout assigned to a certain area gives a player a low grade and then that player never gets checked out by his superiors.

Talking about the FA signing period after the 2003 draft, they gave a lot of credit to Payton for pointing Romo out to Jones, and to Jones for calling Romo on a different line while Romo was talking to another NFL team.

Give this kid a offseason full of QB schools and mini camps knowing he is the starter and he will really shine in training camp and preseason. If we fix the Oline and the pass rush........

ya I left the whole thing liking the hell out of Romo. good for him and good for his work ethic. Even if he tanks I am proud for him to wear the star
