Perhaps you can help me. I have downloaded Chrome twice to my 64 bit Vista PC and once to my XP Laptop. It seems to install correctly and I can browse with it, but I cannot re-start my computer(s) after it's installed.

I have to boot up in safe mode and restore to a point prior to downloading Chrome or uninstall it.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Edit: I'm currently using Firefox.

I have it installed on my laptop with XP Pro and have had no issues. Sorry that's not much help.

It it as fast as reported. Firefox is pretty fast but I've heard Chrome is even faster. I wish I could get it to work.

I don't really use it for anything but testing for my job. I use Firefox for my regular browsing. Does seem pretty fast, though.

Was bored so I downloaded it. Seems pretty standard. Nothing really special.

It's just really, really fast. I have a hard time going back and using Firefox because it's so slow. Using IE is simply out of the question.

I wish they would hurry and put in extensions. You can get the "cracked" version, but I just don't feel comfortable using such a browser.

Chome has issues. All versions though the 32bit Windows is probably the MOST stable. I recommend using Firefox until it improves. I also recommend you get the hell off Vista. Windows 7 or downgrading to XP are far better Windows choices.

btw, the issue could be Vista.

It seems to move a little quicker on my netbook than FF or Safari.

This. I downloaded Chrome about 6 months ago after I had used Firefox for the previous 2-3 years. There is no going back to Firefox. It's just so slow and annoying now. Internet Explorer is just plain bad...terribly slow and very annoying when trying to open up multiple tabs.

Opera has a decent browser, but it eats too much memory and is still a bit buggy. Chrome is the way to go.

I've been using Chrome for about two months now. Was previously using FF. Chrome is much faster. One thing I do not like is the inability to block tracking cookies. You can delete them, but not block them.

Just for fun, I clicked on the IE icon, FF icon and Chrome icon immediately after each other in that order. Chrome was open and had the page loaded before the other two programs even opened. And what's shocking is that my Chrome homepage is the Wall Street Journal, which is a bit of a resource hog, whereas my home page for FF and IE are google.

Impressive! I've got to get this thing working. One error message said something about drivers might be out of date. Why would drivers matter and how do I determine if some of mine need to be updated?

Chrome's awesome! I use it pretty exclusively unless i need to use Bing Cashback (i.e. Ebay).

I can't help you though. XP and 7 only.
