Here is my 53 list

QB:
1. Bledsoe
2. Romo

RB:
4. Julious Jones
5. Marion Barber
6. Tyson Thompson
7. L. Polite

WR:
8. Terrell Owens
9. Terry Glenn
10. Patrick Crayton
11. Sam Hurd
12. Jamica Rector

12. Jason Witten
13. Antony Fasano
14. Ryan Hannam
15. Tony Curtis

OL:
16. Flozell Adams
17. Kyle Kosier
18. A. Gurode
19. Mario Rivera
20. Marc Columbo
21. Pat McQuistan
22. Proctor
23. Al Johnson
24. Rob Petitti

DL:
25. Marcus Spears
26. Jason Ferguson
27. Chris Canty
28. Jay Ratliff
29. Jason Hatcher
30. Thomas Johnson

LB:
31. Greg Ellis

36. Oliver Hoyte

42. Aaron Glenn
43. Jacques Reeves
44. Nate Jones

FS:
45. Keith Davis

SS:
47. Roy Williams
48. Abram Elam

ST:
49. Mike Vanderjagt
50. Mat McBriar
51. L.P. Ladouceur

This leaves two spots which I believe will be OL and WR. I think Fabini is a guy that could be traded and then we might keep Tarullo since he can play all five positions but much better at center and guard.

I don't see us keeping a kickoff specialist especially if Vandy can get it to the 5 or 10 yard marker which is about the same as anyone else.

A sixth WR might make it if Green shows something this week but I think he goes on the PS along with Baker, Miles, Roland, Stanley and probably a few from other teams. The PS can have 8 players and even 3 year vets can be on it this year.

Believe that we could trade Singleton and if we do then Glymph makes the team. Also see Sean Ryan being traded (remember the Parcells rule on 3 year guys). Actually could see us trading 3 or 4 guys but probably for picks not players.

Sandyf, if we keep a 10th OL it's because Bill wants to keep a solid backup in Fabini.

After the first preseason game, has Glymph played much at all. I have not seen him. Have I missed him or is BP trying to hide him for the practice squad?

IIRC, he isn't eligible for the PS.

I agree with the "4 TE camp". If you listen to BP talk about his game day 45, I think he has 3 TE's PLUS Polite on that list. The extra TE is an undressed guy, probably Curtis.

The Marcus Coleman thing is kinda interesting. I think because he is suspended he doesn't occupy a roster spot. This is pure speculation on my part but because Vanderjagt has had the groin thing and hasn't kicked off in three years you could go with Suisham for now and then if Vandy looks like he can handle KO's without a problem, release Suisham after 4 games and put Coleman back on the roster.

I also think because of Flo coming off the knee injury, having the calf thing we could end up keeping Fabini to start the year at least just for insurance.

I know this is not a popular opinion right now but I think BP ends up keeping Skyler Green, at least for now. There's a good chance whatever roster we begin the season with has a few tweaks as we go along- Suisham, Fabini, Green and Coleman al could be moving parts.

The rest of your list Rack looks good to me.

Sandy you have one more roster spot... skipped #3 in your count...

You could then keep Fabini, Green (or other 6th WR, Copper?) and a KO specialist...

Nevermind you double posted #12... carry on

Thanks, I am thinking either Parcells trades OL Petti or Fabini, since there have been requests for our offensive linemen.
ok Here is my 53 list

QB:

1. Bledsoe
2. Romo
Backup or 3rd string Crayton or Green-both played QB in college
RB:

3. Julious Jones
4. Marion Barber
(heard the cowboys are trying to trade him Tyson Thompson -)
FB-HB
5. Polite

WR:

6. Terrell Owens
7. Terry Glenn
8. Crayton
9. Hurd
10. Rector If Skyler Green doesnt make roster, Rector will also be punt returner and kickoff guy, reports are that the cowboys may trade for a kickoff specialist.

TE:

11. Witten
12. Fasano
13. Hannam

OL:

14. Adams
15. Kosier
16. Gurode
17. Rivera
18. Columbo
19. McQuistan
20. Proctor
21. Al Johnson
Petitti (reports are cowboys getting reports to trade OL, so Fabini or Petti might be traded)

DL:

22. Spears
23. Ferguson
24. Canty
25. Ratliff
26. Hatcher
27. Thomas Johnson

*Note: I don't like our NG depth at all. I agree!!! They may trade for a backup DT with another linebacker trade or offensive linemen trade or tyson thompson rumored traded.

LB:

28. Ellis
29. Ayodele
30 James
31. Ware
32. Burnett
33. Hoyte ( I think the Cowboys will keep him, superior ILB on runs, special teams, but the patriots are in love with him, with right price from Pats big bill might trade him).
34. Carpenter
35. Singleton
36. Boiman
I expect one of these linebackers to be traded, either Boiman, Singleton or Gymph or Fowler-Fowler most likely!!!!!!!

CB:

37. Newman
38. Henry
39. Glenn
40. Reeves
Jones Jones hasnt been doing too good, he might be cut!

FS:

41. Davis
42. Watkins
43. Pile could make this squad, because Parcells I am thinking still isnt pleased with his 2nd gun related incident, and the Saints wanted him bad, i think by mid season you will see him traded-Keith Davis that is.
SS:

44. Roy
45. Elam

ST:

46. Vandy
47. McBriar
48. Ladeucer (sp?)
49. Suisam (sucks, but I think we end up having to keep him) I agree, I am scared of having to play Vandy with a groin pull, kicking off can reinjure that.
As you all know, Cundiff injured his groin kicking off, and Vandy reports are out of INdy that his kickoffs in 2003 were to the 5 and 10 yard lines.

That leaves 4 players, one of them i think will be a special teams returner, if skyler green doesnt show something. I would like for them to keep Tyson Thompson, you just dont find running backs with that kind of speed, i think time he can be super. Granted, I dont think he will be ever a priest holmes, but i still think in time he will be good rb. So, that puts us back at 50.

51. Gymph on potential if he shows something Thursday night.
52. Possible Sklyer Green as punt returner or Sean Ryan or Curtis
53. Fabini or Petti

I agree with what Sandyf said, they are going to make trades.
What position are we soft at that Parcells said he was worried about, one of them was backup DT. Next, I believe was punt returner or kick returner.

Players available for trade;
1st Fowler possible 4th to 7th pic

2nd Fabini or Petti possible 3rd to 4th pick

3rd Tyson Thompson possible 4th to 7th pick or trade for backup NT with experience or good kickoff specialist or punt returner.

4th Sean Ryan 6th to 7th pick

5th Sleeper trade pick, if Pat Watkins comes on, Coleman straightens out or Pile does better, you might see KEITH DAVIS traded during the season before NFL deadline in october best i remember, (how can you count on a player that has gotten shot twice within a 3 year frame-some guys just dont learn) like mentioned above Saints wanted him bad, and they do need help in secondary. Also, Parcells said that he has played rookie safeties before, in fact, two in one season.

6th Possible trade Hoyte to Patriots, they love Hoyte, in fact tried to sign him after draft, but cowboys beat then to Hoyte. (I'd like to keep Hoyte, I think he would be a good solid run stuffing linebacker, somewhat iffy on pass coverage)

Most of these trades will be for draft picks, but one might be for backup NT or kickoff speciallist or punt returner.

We by reports already have Saints 4th round pick for Shanle, so if we get 2-3 more picks, we will have ammunition like the Pats or Eagles have had, to move up in draft and get super quality players. So, we should have a super draft next year too.

I forgot to add another tradeable player, that could bring a draft choice, what about Kenyon Coleman, DL, sure, you just could get maybe a 5th to 7th round draft choice, but we know what Parcells can do with low round draft choices.

Linebackers:

Special Teamers:
49. Vanderjagt

That leaves 3 roster spots open.
One being Dline, where I think we will sign a NT that is cut by another team or someone who is already a FA like Grady Jackson.
Another being Oline, if Flozell shows up in our last preseason game and isnt hurt, then Fabini will be gone, if Flo is still slow then Fabini stays.
The last being a open roster spot, where either a QB or Skylar Green or even another OG.

I feel that Hoyte/Fowler and Fabini are getting shopped right now and both will be cut eventually but who knows?
