Who is your ideal top picks for the first 4 rds?

Treylon Burks WR Arkansas Plays big in big games. Everyone knew he was their best player and Alabama couldn't stop him 8 catches179 yds and 2 TDs
Arnold Ebiketie DE Penn St. Three down DE Solid as a run defender and pass rusher
Damone Clark LB LSU Ascending player who had huge production at LSU last season
Cole Strange IOL Tennessee-Chattanooga NFL Strong would be an upgrade to the LG position.

Let me add that.....generally speaking.....

Picking in the mid 20s......you can choose from a lower caliber premium position player and the cream of the crop at lower regarded positions.

I would think Guard is falls into the latter....just a matter of how things are looked upon.
I think we will have a lot of different opinions, as this class is extremely top heavy with many prospects having similar grades. Here is my ideal top 4:

1) Kenyon Green G Texas A&M (Still view him as the top Guard who can play in any scheme)
2) Travis Jones DT Ucon(a legitimate NT that greatly improves our run defense)
3) Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin (the anti-Lve who fits perfectly next to Parsons, will he make it here?)
4) Jeremy Ruckert TE Ohio State (a TE who can actually block)

I wouldn't be surprised to see them sign an OG in free agency.

There are still some available.

Trai Turner
28 years old
Pro Bowl from 2015 to 2019
Started all 17 game last season.

If he is not signed by now, then he is probably not getting a big contract.

Trying to stay realistic to who is projected to be available:

1st Nakobe Dean LB Georgia
2nd Tariq Woolen CB UTSA
3rd Cam Jurgens C Nebraska
4th Jelani Woods TE Virginia

24 and 56 seem to be just outside of the sweet spots too.

You know Quinn would love Woolen. Surprise, surprise they talked to him at the combine

Huge fan of Burks, I worry about Strange, could be more developmental

Strange has much better hand placement and mirror technique than most of the prospects and he's very strong.

Good be a find, but not putting all my eggs in the basket he improves the position right away

dont know if it'll fall this way...but...
rd1...kenyon green og texas a&m
rd2...kingsley enagbare de south carolina
rd3...david bell wr purdue
rd4...jerome ford rb cincinnati

  1. Boye Mafe - Edge - Minnesota
  2. Chad Muma - LB - Wyoming
  3. Dylan Parham - G/C - Memphis
  4. Calvin Austin III -WR - Memphis

1 - Treylon Burks (WR) - Probably BP at this point. Penning is the choice if he's here, but I doubt he will be.

2 - Sam Williams (EDGE) - Big, fast, very productive in the SEC and I think vastly underrated. Why he doesn't get more love I have no idea. (I want Travis Jones but not at 24 and I think he'll be gone by 56.)

3 - Zach Tom (C) - Played T and C at WFU but will play C in the pros. Maybe the most athletic IOL in the draft. Polished pass blocker, plug-and-play from day one.

4 - Jelani Woods (TE and my favorite player in the draft) - A 6-7, 260-lb. monster with long arms (still put up the best bench score at his position) and blocks like a truck full of bricks. He also runs a 4.61 forty, and with his height, length and speed is a nightmare to cover downfield but also presents a massive, nearly uncoverable target in the redzone or when you need seven yards on third down. I love watching this guy stomping through the secondary.

I'm grabbing Matt Araiza and York or Dicker in the 5th. Sue me.

Sign Wagner and a guard and lets play ball. We have Dak protected and have given him two huge targets to go with Lamb, Gallup and Washington, and added a big, athletic young stud to the pass rush.

R1... Daxton Hill would have me the most excited. But I'd also love Kenyon Green, Boye Mafe, or Zion Johnson. Kaiir Elam would be fun too. There's tons of good players in the 10-40 range this year.

R2... no one really screams gotta-have. Jaquon Brisker would be great, but I'm not sure if he'll be there. I really think Perrion Winfrey is flying under the radar, even if we don't need another 3 tech.

R3... this is a Damone Clark stan account. I really don't know why he isn't being mocked in the top 50. Look at his freaking Combine!

97th percentile RAS, 1st team All-SEC, and pundits are like "yeah, 4th round."

R4... Jake Ferguson would be a great Schultz replacement. Speaking of replacements, I would start Brian Robinson straight up over Zeke.

Unfortunately there isn't a Zack Martin in this years draft, they all have some warts.

What I want is a power Guard, one who can get a push in the run game and can effectively anchor so Dak can have a pocket to work with. Much easier to avoid outside pressure, then it is up the middle.

Green on the first and Johnson on the second. Green is a monster in the run game and Johnson is great in pass pro.

Nobody has talked about David Bell, he could be a real good value pick.

I think Zion Johnson has solidified himself as a 1st rd prospect after his work at the Senior Bowl and his good testing at the combine. I prefer Green myself. Kinnard is another one who I hope the team targets in the 2nd rd.

Those two are better than Strange but require a lot more draft capital. Not Kinnard though NFL says he need a lot of work on footwork and hand usage to be effective in the NFL.

Kinnard might need to work on his footwork, but that's more for Tackle, think he would be a far better interior player.

I get it you like him better, arguing who is better is seems pointless, if they were both there I would prefer Strange. We won't know until they both play some games in the NFL.
Weaknesses
  • Oversetting needs to be monitored and corrected.
  • Lackadaisical approach in his pass punch.
  • His mirroring cracks during second half of the rush.
  • Hugs and engulfs rather than working with inside hand placement.
  • Struggles to get block centered and keep it there.
  • Sloppy feet diminish contact balance.
  • Falls off the block due to narrow drive steps.
  • Needs improved technique for double teams and work-up blocks.
  • Spends too much time on the ground.
