Given all the breakdowns and call outs of players out of position, getting beat, running bad routes, poor blocking, etc.......who played better than Bailey (K) and Jones (P)?

Lawrence picked up where he left off last week and would be the talk of the board if the team had played better.

However, I thought the turning point in the game was his penalty on the field goal, which led to a TD.

To compound things, on the ensuing drive Dez was hit with offensive pass interference on a big third down conversion, which led to a punt instead.

That was the crucial sequence in the game to me.

well d-law is tied for the league lead in sacks, so theres 1 positive. but that dumb "leverage" penalty will overshadow that

Absolutely agree that was the critical sequence in the game.
Having said that, did you see the replays of the launching penalty?
As I understand the rule, you can't use another player as leverage to launch yourself into the air.
Dlaw's right hand did rest on the blockers back as he went low to block, but I swear the force he used to "launch" would not have broken an egg. It was a terrible call as was the offensive interference call on dez.
In the end, would not have changed the score. Broncos were winning that game handily. We were completely unprepared to play yesterday.

Switzer had a nice return at one point.

Witten played well and led my fantasy team to victory.

Terrance Williams caught everything thrown to him I think.

I thought that too about him not putting any force on the blocker, but I suppose just the optics of that action are going to draw a flag regardless of force.

The Dez call seemed much more egregious. Even with those calls going in our favor though I agree we still would've lost.

Dak, he took a beating better than Jake La Motta...

But were they hand catches or body catches...that makes a difference to some on here, they focus on the type of catch rather than the catch itself....:muttley:

How did La'el Collins look? I seen posts going each way. I think for the most part he held his own against Miller, until they were passing every play, then all Miller had to do was rush ,rush, rush. That happens quite often to many good OL in the NFL.

But overall, how id he play?

That play combined with a terrible offensive pass interference call on Dez the next possession.

Dallas would of had a first down in Denver territory, but they punted and went down 14 with Denver getting it again to start the 2nd half.

Doubt it mattered though, the offense was not winning a shout out and the defense was not going to stop them.

I personally thought he held his own until about 6 minutes left in the third quarter when the game was over and Von Miller was pinning his ears back to go after Dak.

He got abused quite a bit after that but Collins was not the reason we lost the game nor was Miller.

It's a shame Witt dropped that sure td pass. His stat line would have been 11 catches for about a buck twenty and a td. Indicative of how yesterday went.
And my respect for twill is way up.
He is catching everything thrown his way so far. His attitude and hustle are off the charts. Not to mention the team friendly deal he took in the offseason

of the starters and main contributors on both D and O.

Witten- then drops the TD

Lawrence- then gets the penalty (thought I think it was ticky tack technically it did look legitimate)

So no one gets a complete pass for yesterday outside of our special teams.

Lawrence and Witten

However even they had a bone head penalty...Tank on the FG leverage penalty that although technically against the rules, was just a weak call as that stuff happens all the time.

Witten for a man that is great as he is and future hall of famer...he always seems to have at least one off sides penalty per game...remember the word seems. Plus he dropped a pass that would have been a TD.

You also have Lewis who was forced into play with little to no training camp and he made some mistakes but he also got an INT.

you tear them all down and remind them they are a team. nothing worth salvaging because it was pulled down more than a few individual successes. Its a team, remind them.
