Who sees the field first?

Which of these players will see field time first?

Spencer? We were told that he was close. But sometimes I think Jerry and his med staff are too optimistic with players. According to the reports we were given three weeks ago, he was close to a return. But he still has yet to return to practice. I have serious doubts about him returning any time soon.

Sam? It's encouraging to hear the reports we've been receiving. But he's still on the practice squad. If we struggle getting to the passer, then I think we will see him in a couple of games.

Lawrence? I would like to believe the med staff. I would like to believe he would come back after week six. However, I think he will come back after Thanksgiving. He will need conditioning work.

So, out of these three pass rushers, I'm thinking that Sam will see the field first. Any thoughts?

Good thread. I'll go with Sam too. Hopefully soon.

Then Lawrence. Then Spencer, if ever.

Lawrence has to be out 8 weeks on the IR-Return. It would be 6 weeks if he was on the PUP.

The Cowboys are more likely to take a DE off the 53 than to add one at this point.

I would expect Spencer to practice for about 2 weeks prior to playing in a game and he has yet to practice. It seems that week 5 would be about the earliest for him to play a game. He could have returned in week 7 if the kept him on the PUP.

If we lose tomorrow and generate zero pass rush , I expect Sam to be activated next week . I think Spencer will play week 4 so I'll say Sam .

Couldn't remember on Lawrence. Regardless, I think Sam still sees the field first.

Lawrence is on the IR/Designated to return list, which means that he is not eligible to play in a game until week nine.

Definitely was a poor decision to not put Spencer on the PUP. I can't imagine how he's going to have any realistic chance to be back before week 6, given he hasn't practiced yet.

I still don't think that Sam will see the field for a while.

I would say Sam. Doubt we ever see Spencer on the field again here.

Don't trust anything these guys say about injuries.

I would go with Spencer. Obviously an injury could make it Sam.

Spagnola talks on his show like he talks to trainers in getting the medical information. He said that they are considering allowing Spencer to practice next week and if not then the following. That is a week 4 or 5 start respectively to those two starting points.
