Now that the tables have turned, time to think about draft order. Obviously we want the Cowboys to lose and get to 8-8.

Here are the teams around us that we want to lose. Not sure how all those other tie breakers work. Maybe someone can give some input on that? Does head to head matter? Doesnt look like it.

Looks like the Cowboys currently have the 19th pick. All these teams are ahead of us in the draft order.

Now that we're out of the playoffs, I honestly couldn't care less who wins or loses this week.

Well this a reminder to you that it matters. Imagine on draft day and we have the 19th pick and you are wishing we had the 15th pick. Its not always about winning now. Now that the season is toast you need to turn your attention to the future. At times losing can be a very useful thing. Especially when you have major roster issues.

Rooting for Rush to come into the second half and light it up. 4 TD with 280 pass yards.

I know it matters to an extent. Just not enough for me to care who moves up or down a spot. Whatever happens, happens.

Yep...........the perfect ending would be for Rush to come in and go crazy. And we lose because the extra point is blocked.

Well, its actually the difference between 5-7 spots from what I can tell. Its the difference between drafting Taco or Watt.

That’s not at all obvious to me. I refuse to pull against my team and hope they lose a game just to move up a few draft slots. We are desperate for LB, OT, and WR. Middle of round 1 is just fine for those positions.

And yes, we need quality players at all three positions because they can be used in rotation and situations even if not starting. We need a guy who will back up and eventually replace Lee (maybe Hitchins), TSmith backup (and if a great performer, play guard or play RT, moving Collins back inside), and rotate with or replace Dez/TWill. We proved last year that we can find guys for the secondary outside of round 1. With all respect to Rod Smith, we must find a third down, shifty RB who is an excellent receiver and open field playmaker...a smallish back to compliment Zeke/Smith.

Sometimes you’re better off not worrying about a few slots. Sometimes it’s lucky you can’t draft LB Francis and have to settle for a RB who’s too small and too slow (Smith). Once you’re outside of the top 4-5 impact blue chippers, the draft falls to your needs.

I'm rooting for myself to have a great time at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas with no worries whatsoever about NFL teams I don't follow.

If the Cowboys can't get into the playoffs, I don't give a crap who does.

Ummm....doubtful. Watt was always considered a rush OLB, not a 4-3 DE. I’m sure Dallas preferred Barnett to Taco, but never Watt.

Winning is always more important than just the final record.

So your saying it’s better to draft lower?

Yah sure it’s is.....yawn

I'm for whatever would have gotten the Cowboys into the playoffs if they had actually taken care of their own business.

Let it really hurt all of the excusemakers. From the Joneses, to the paid shills like Spagnola, to all of the homers here who think it's their job to defend this crap.

Let them all wallow in the agony of their own making, and what "might have been".
