Who should we want in the playoffs? Commanders, Vikings or Saints?
It's a legitimate question, and if we don't want Washington in, we must simply beat them. That would then open the door for the Vikings to make it in instead, provided they win their next game. But beating Washington coupled with a Vikings loss and Saints win, brnigs the Saints into the playoffs.
Personally, I don't want the Commanders in because I think they have the best running game of these three teams, and with the Giants already in, I'd like to see as few NFC-East foes in the playoffs as possible.
I would rather have the Vikings make it in because, while they are good at the RB position, they're fairly inexperienced at the RB and QB positions, and Dallas has already shut them down - largely because of their inexperience - and I would expect the same outcome should Dallas have to play the Vikings again.
The team I'm torn on are the Saints. Yes they pretty much took us to town about a year ago so that's what makes me nervous. On the other hand, that had everything to do with Sean Payton knowing what Parcells would do, so I could se our newer, legitimate, coaching staff taking the Saints to town this time around. So I'm not too sure what ot make of this potential opponent and how we match up against them this season.
In the end, if you look at the experience and talent these 3 potential playoff opponents have at the QB and RB positions combined, I would rank them in this order: 1=Saints, 2=Commanders, 3=Vikings; so in the end, I would like to see the Vikings take the last NFC seed because they pose the weakest matchup threat against Dallas. So I'm hoping the Cowboys beat the Commanders to give the Vikings the best chance - who have a much better than the Saints - to make it in. And spoiling the Commanders' playoff chances would also be a sweet outcome!
