I keep my head shaved (every other day) and I would grow a goatee, except for the Army thing. I'll probably grow one when I retire, though.
As for the full beard, can't do it, it would deprive too many women from enjoying the beauty that is me.

Us manly men grow REAL beards...
When I turned 21, I grew a mustache... a regular porn stache, it was... then in a year or two, I went with the horseshoe/** manchu look... or as I referred to it, my "pistolero" mustache... after a while, bored with that, I went with the goatee, but only for a short time...
That's when I decided to go for the full deal... I've worn a beard now for 30 years... problem is, if I grow it out, it goes all wild and wooly on me, I look like a junior grade Fidel Castro, so if I want it to look neat, I have to keep it kinda short...
