for months we have been assuming that someone will trade up to #2 for Mariota, I dont think Philly can move up that high cause of the cost, who do u guys think will move up and get him? I think if anyone does it could be Cleveland with their 2 #1's

Very unsure about this.

Just listening to a very odd press conference with Whisenhunt made it seem like they were trying too hard to convince people that they liked Mariota. I don't know anymore.

Below are the teams i feel are QB needy, Ive listed the Chargers and the Saints only cause their has been rumors of trading Brees and Rivers, which i doubt will happen. Bears have Cutler and would love a chance at Mariota but how would they unload Cutler, and move up to #2 thats a steep price. I really dont think Tennesse wants Mariota they are hoping someone will offer them a Commanders like kings ransom. so who might be the team?

1. Tampa Bay Bucs 2-14 will take Winston imo
2.Tennessee Titans2-14
5.Washington Commanders4-12
6.New York Jets4-12
7.Chicago Bears5-11
10.St. Louis Rams6-10
12.Cleveland Browns7-9
13.New Orleans Saints7-9
16.Houston Texans9-7
17.San Diego Chargers9-7
19.Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo)7-9
20.Philadelphia Eagles10-6
31.New Orleans Saints (from Seattle)7-9

If I'm Tampa bay i take him at 1. No off the field issues, great accuracy, can be mobile even though I prefer to have a qb to stay in the pocket, seems to have all the leadership skills. I don't see how a team could pass on him if they need a qb. Winston imo will be a rg3 type. Have a stellar rookie year and be a average passer.

Cleveland has offered both their #1's and Tennessee has shot them down.......

they want Cleveland's 2016 as well.......

Insanity........If Cleveland caves in.

Your basically kissing 4 #1's away.........on an unproven QB

Admitting....2014 #1 is a bust

2015- 2 # 1's and.......

a 2016 #1.......

That Cleveland 2016 pick could be the #1 overall pick......

Talk about a heist if Tennessee can pull that one off:lmao:

That Cleveland trade report was refuted.

And I think Philly can definitely get him by throwing some young players as well as picks at Tennessee. Kelly might be that desperate to get his boy that he'd throw a couple of #1s at Tennessee, maybe their #2 this year and then a few players like Cox and Kendricks.

We always hear these rumors and then we hear that they were false.

I often wonder if a team only refutes the offer after it was turned down lol.

On a side note.

Cleveland has done a terrible job when they have had two first round picks to spend so maybe they are better off trading them away for one lol.

LOL. So true.

If I were Tennessee, I'd take Mariota. I think the kid can be a very good QB, even in a pro-set, and I think Mettenberger is trash.

That being said, if Kelly called me and said I'll give you our #20 pick, Bradford, next year's #1, 2017s #1 and then Fletcher Cox and Mychal Kendricks, I'd ship the pick in a heartbeat. That would give me multiple first round picks in the next 2 years with a stronger QB class due in 2016.

Whether “offer” was made to TEN sounds like semantics. Official offers come on the clock but teams get a feel for what it takes to move now.

But the refuting came from a Tennessee source. Why would Tennessee deny that report? If anything, they'd want to play up that report as that helps set the floor for anyone who wants to get in on the #2 picks.

I still think the trade with SD - Rivers + picks for the #2 overall - has some legs to it.

I def see someone trading up for him. I can see the jets honestly. Browns would be idiotic to do that. They have wasted so many picks over the years. That franchise is in shambles.

Jets won't trade up. For once, it looks like they have a clever GM in Maccagnan and clever coach in Bowles.
