I was so pumped after Ted riffed that anthem. I don't know about anyone else, but I was about to explode wanting to get the game started.:starspin

we are 2-0 with him doing the anthem.

Last year he did it before the giants game and it sent the crowd into a frenzy.

he was just as good last night.

I have seen Ted 3 times in the last 6 years. He still puts on a great show and busts his tail.

That was very cool. Was wondering if they showed it on the broadcast.

Nugent's a little before my time so I haven't exactly listened to a lot of his music. But they aired his rendition of the anthem on the radio broadcast and, holy cow, that was sweet.

Nugent's the big right-wing, pro-gun guy, right? Not about to turn this into a political thread, but I was sure wishing he had some guns and was ready to go, ahem, eagle hunting last night. :)

Thats awesome! The Nuge shredded that national anthem at the Giants vs Cowboys game last year when I went for the game. It was pretty ******, not the pop sensations they normally parade up there for the song.

Yeah, but not as the opener at a sporting event...

Or was Jimi's that way, too? :)

Like someone said, I guess I'm too used to the usual pop singer of the week doing it. Although at the first preseason game they did have the son or nephew of whoever it was that did it so long at Texas Stadium.

Although Jimi Hendrix may have batted around the idea a little over 40 years ago. ;)

His was to open his set at Woodstock. Not quite a sporting event, unless naked mud wrestling counts. :)

In the Stanley cup finals in Edmonton a few years back, the singer was almost getting drowned out by the fans singing. Half way through it, he simply held the mike up, moving it back and forth. The crowd took over the singing ... it sent shivers to all that were there.
