I did not know that honestly. Just going on what Gil Brandt once said about the best LTs during his era. He said Neely could play practically any position on the OL, and he was the best LT, Donovan second.

I cant argue with Gil Brandt. However I seem to remember Neely getting called for share of holding penalties on the left side. I can tell you the worst LT Dallas ever had was a tie between Phil Pozderik and Chris Schultz. You talk about human turn stiles.:laugh2:

Did Larry Allen ever play left tackle? I know he played left and right guard and I'm pretty sure he played right tackle a little bit.

I agree with Hos that you couldn't go wrong with any of the nominees.

Larry Allen. I guess you forgot he played some LT for us also.

Reason I ask is I was looking at the Cowboys Top 50 All-Time list and noticed that Neely was ranked so low, behind even Pat Donovan.

If anything if Neely is not number one, he is second only to Tuinei who is extremely underrated IMO. And Flo may have all the pro bowls, but I cannot place him above either Neely or Tui. Maybe not even over Donovan.

The clincher is that Neely is the only Cowboys LT to make an all-decades team, that is how much he was respected.

Never mind Wright was a RT doh anyways of the Left Tackles I say Adams
